This holiday season whether you are hosting a party or a hosting over night guests you need to be a great hostess. Being a great hostess means that you leave your guests, whether they are at your house for days or a few hours, wanting to come back again. If you are a good hostess your guests will have a great time at your house and they will go away loving you even more than they already do.
There are many things that you can do to be a great hostess. You should always have food/snacks and something to drink for your guests. If you don't have anything out, remember to offer and to let them know to just get something whenever they want it. Make sure your guests know their way around and how to find the bathroom. This leads into my next tip your house doesn't have to be completely spotless but clean up. No one wants to wander into your bathroom and find it absolutely messy with no toilet paper.
During a party you need to be circulating. You should make sure to introduce people who do not know each other and maybe even point out some interest or hobby that they have in common so that they have something to being their conversation about. If someone brings a hostess gift remember to be gracious and say thank you. Have food and drinks out where everyone can find them. Have ENOUGH food. You don't want anyone to have a bad time because they were starving to death. For overnight guests, make sure the bed has clean sheets please. Make sure you have plenty of food in the pantry and the fridge.
Great tips! Having enough food is a MUST!

ReplyDeleteI host a costume party for Halloween each year, and if there's one thing people love, it's a well-stocked buffet/fridge! :)
