Surviving the Holidays

Another Christmas has come and gone. I love Christmas time with getting to spend lots of time with family, family dinners, the lights and glitter, and the pretty wrapped presents. Everything just seems more perfect under the glow of Christmas lights. Getting ready for Christmas can be a lot of work though with baking, cooking, cleaning, wrapping, and finding the perfect gifts. Now I am looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the last of my break before work begins again. I have several days still before work and I plan to make the most of them. I plan to sleep in, read books, watch movies, and spend lazy evenings petting my cat Mr. Heffalump.
Don't get me wrong it won't be all play. I still have a few things left to get ready for work beginning again and some things to do at home, but I am definitely going to have time and relax. What do you do to relax?

  1. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!

Whenever I need to relax, I read a book, blogs, or just clean up around the house. Sometimes it even helps getting together with close friends, and we have a girls' night out. :)

  2. I relax almost exactly the same way...sans cat. But I mean, if I had a cat, I would definitely cuddle it. A lot. Glad you're having a relaxing break!

  3. omgosh the movie night theme is sooo cute!!! the little hot dogs in the tuxedo. DIE that is so adorable haha!

  4. reading is my ultimate relaxation. and now that i have some spare time, i'm catching up on all my favorite shows. :D
