Scrumptious Cookie Dough Brownies

Who doesn't love brownies, chocolate chips, and cookie dough? I know I am game for all three of those things. So why not combine all three things and create a delicious treat? What could be better? Everyone will ravish these babies and then they will lavish you with compliments on your culinary skills.

Ingredients:

Brownie:
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups light brown sugar, packed
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour

Cookie Dough:
3/4 cup unsalted butter (does not have to be softened)
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons whole milk
1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups mini chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a 9x13-inch pan with foil, later you will use this to lift the brownies out of the pan so leave enough hanging over the edges. Spray the foil with nonstick spray.
2. Using a double boiler melt the chocolate until smooth. Then set it aside to cool slightly.
3. Mix the butter and brown sugar using the electric mixer on medium until light and fluffy. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix in the chocolate, you have already melted, until combined. Add the flour and mix until just combined. Bake for 20-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Set to the side and let it cool completely before adding the cookie dough on top.
4. Using the mixer combine the butter and both of the sugars. Then add the milk and vanilla, mix until just combined. Add the flour a little at a time and mix until combined. I did this in three additions. Then using a spatula stir in the chocolate chips. Spread over the cooled brownies.
5. You will need to refrigerate until firm, for an hour or so. Then using the foil lift the brownies out of the pan and cut. Store in an airtight container. Then enjoy!
