How to Serve Thanksgiving Dinner
Whenever it comes to an important family dinner, we like to go all out. Don't you? Weeks beforehand we are planning the menu and starting to buy ingredients. We are deciding things like what sides would be best with the main course, what desserts should we have, or will we be making a special punch. We have our family favorites, but we also like to mix it up a little and try some new things. Take this Thanksgiving dinner for instance, Tracy and I will be trying a new stuffing recipe this week to decide if it makes the cut for our family dinner.

After planning the menu, buying the ingredients, and preparing the food you still have to decide how you are going to serve the food. What's actually going to be on the table? I like to keep dishes and serving dishes neutral so that they will work in any circumstance or for any holiday. I like a rustic table runner and placemats like these above which are also metallic, so they will add a little shimmer to the table as well. These would pair well with anything else you would put on the table. You can also give more festive and holiday specific with your centerpiece. I also like adding some color with the linen napkins. The deep red above is perfect for the holidays. White plates, serving bowls, and serving platters are perfect because they always work, no matter what other colors you decide to bring in with the napkins, table runner, and centerpiece. What are your must haves for serving Thanksgiving dinner?
