My Summer Goals

This summer I am going to take time for myself to relax and rest. I'm not going to stress out about anything (except maybe the trip I take a group of 9th graders on for 5 days and nights). While I am going to enjoy the summer and chill, I am also going to accomplish some of the goals on my 101 in 1001 Days list. Do you have any goals that you are going to try to cross off your list this summer? Here are the goals I am going to focus on.
1. Go on a road trip.
2. See dolphins in the ocean. I'm hoping to accomplish this on my trip to Florida!
3. Going to enjoy some delicious food from the Farmer's Market.
4. Work on my Family Cookbook.
5. Get A's on my graduate classes this summer.
6. Have a great time going to the drive-in. The nearest one is going to close after this summer.
7. Read the stack of books in my bedroom before I buy anymore. This is going to be almost impossible, as I always want to buy more books to add to my stack.

101 in 1001

I recently sat down and wrote a list of 101 goals to complete in 1001 days. Jessica discussed a few of her goals a couple weeks ago. Today I thought I would share a few goals I hope to complete before the official beginning of Fall.

A couple months ago I came down with a mild case of Bell's Palsy. I was incredibly fortunate to quickly make a complete recovery but I still have not recovered from how terrified I was. I believe the major causes for the Bell's Palsy for me were stress and not taking care of myself. As soon as I got sick I immediately started going to bed earlier, taking vitamins, and trying not to worry (very difficult for a constant worrier).

Although I've made some progress, I know I still need to make some improvements and those are the first goals on my list I want to tackle.

1. Take a true lunch break at least twice each week. I tend to work through lunch and only take a few minutes to eat.

2. Enjoy at least two game nights before the beginning of Fall.

3. Take at least one nap per month.

4. Avoid eating out for 30 days. I honestly rather eat at home but because of my hectic schedule I end up eating out way more than I should.

5. Dress for work. The law office I work is very casual but I want to step up my game and not let the casual environment keep me from looking professional.

6. Take evening walks at least a couple times a week. Should help me relax, enjoy my neighborhood, and get in a little exercised.

Summer Goals

For a while now I have seen 101 Things in 1001 Days lists on other blogs. I always find these types of things interesting because other people are sharing their goals with you and they have set a deadline for when these goals need to be completed. Tracy and I had talked about these lists and the things that other bloggers where committing themselves to do so several months ago we finally decided to make our own lists too. We would work on our lists and then talk about the things we had put on our own list. Sometimes Tracy would tell me things on hers that I wanted to do too and since it was on both of our lists it would be something we could do together. It took a few weeks to complete my list, coming up with 101 goals that I can easily measure took some thinking. My goals range from things that I can complete in a day to a week to a month to until probably the 1001 days are up. So I have been working on these goals for a couple of months now and I have around a dozen completed. Looking over my list though I have a dozen or so goals that I still want to complete this summer and around ten that I will be working towards meeting. I am not going to share my whole list right now, but here are some of the goals that I want to complete before Summer has officially ended: 1) Go on a picnic.

2) Host a movie marathon.

3) Paint my nails more.

4) Go to the drive in movies.

5) Swing.

These are just a few things that I am going to accomplish this summer. What are you going to finish before summer official ends?
