Chocolate Truffles
Posted by Jessica
These chocolate truffles are insanely decadent and extremely easy to make. Plus, with all of the coating options they are fun to make. We recently made these for a party and everyone kept requesting more. We also boxes of these truffles would be a great gift for friends this holiday season.
Ingredients:
3 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Various coatings: such as finely chopped toasted nuts, flaked coconut, chocolate sprinkles, colored sprinkles, unsweetened cocoa, powdered sugar or colored sugars. (Our personal favorite is toffee pieces)
Directions:
1. Melt chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk in large saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
2. Pour into medium bowl. Cover and chill 2 to 3 hours or until firm.
3. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in desired coating and/or decorate with frosting and candies. Chill 1 hour or until firm.
