It is busy, busy, busy this week so I am going to keep it short and sweet today.
I have been doing way too much shopping lately. I am going to have to reign that in soon because the holiday season is quickly approaching and I have a big family and lots of friends that I love getting gifts for. My favorites right now are rather eclectic but that is rather fitting for my personality. The more I look at this denim dress the more adorable it becomes. I've been all about skirts and dresses lately but I cannot help but think these pants are basically perfect in ever way.

We are entering the final weeks of summer and as everyone seems to be returning from vacations and living on summer time things around my office have been in full swing. This week has been a busy one but I am okay with that because I feel like I have accomplished a lot. I can happily look at my to-do list and see a lot of items crossed off. Today through Saturday is largely filled with out of town appointments and meetings. After sticking close to home the last few weeks I am actually looking forward to being on the go for a couple days.
This week I have been making a grand effort to get in bed earlier and I have noticed the hugest difference in my mornings. I do not get home to pretty late most days so it is difficult for me to not try to force myself to stay awake until I am absolutely exhausted which then leads to making my mornings a struggle. This week though the extra hour of sleep I have been giving myself has been helping me to be much more of a morning person.
Now back to the beauties featured in this post. I am excited about the approaching fall and I think everything above would be perfect elements in a fall wardrobe. You may have already seen these smoking slippers because I am apparently a little late to the game but I still had to share. Silver glitter. Pointed toes. So perfect. Unfortunately by the time I spotted these sparkly shoes my size was gone. They are available in other colors and I just placed an order last night for one while I anxiously sit on the wait list to see if they restock my size in the glitter version.
I also want to point out my other favorite item: this clutch. It is pricey which has been cause for a huge internal debate with myself. I had promised myself that I am going to stick to a stricter budget but honestly this clutch is one of the prettiest things I have seen in a long time and it is making saying no to it excruciating.

What a week! Work has been so busy. It has felt like I have barely had time to look up. Today is my birthday and I am I disappointed to be stuck in the office. I am hoping to sneak out a little early today and head to a celebratory dinner with my family. I admit I am excited to see what gifts I receive. Everyone has been taking so much enjoyment at keeping everything a surprise.
I have a lot to fit into the next couple days. Book club is tomorrow and that is followed by hosting a game night. My cousin just got back from a huge board game convention and has told us that he will be showing up with a lot of new games for everyone to play.
There are so many pretty items out there right now like this light blue dress that is one of the prettiest things I have seen in a while and this shirt dress that would be great to wear to the office. I have been itching to do so shopping lately. I blame it on all of the fall arrivals showing up in stores lately. This weekend I am going to give in a make a few purchases as a birthday gift for myself.
