On My Radar: By Oomph.

We are happy to bring you another installment of our On My Radar series. This time we have Rebecca from oomph. She has a great blog that you definitely need to go check out.

Hi everyone! Thanks to Tracy and Jessica for inviting me here to share my current cravings with you. Here’s what I’m loving at the moment:

Peach I love a nude lip, and I’m looking to rock a more subtle color for the summer months. Peach gives just the right amount of color for that natural (not naked) look. Got any perfectly peachy recommendations?

T-shirts I’ve always been picky about my tees…they have to be the right material and length, perfectly oversized, and preferably v-neck. But now, I’m loving them in neutral grays and white to go with colored bottoms. Think white tee, mint denim, and leopard loafers.

Brights My shoedrobe is B.O.R.I.N.G…a sea of browns, blacks, grays, and leopard. I’m on the lookout for some simple, bright heels.

Tartan I’m a huge fan of tartan. A tartan shirt thrown over denim is the epitome of effortless chic, no? I’ve come across many, but I’m still on the lookout for that classic red shirt.

Dainty I’ve been known to have a signature (cocktail) ring that I wear all the time, until my next fave comes along. Bigger the better. But I’ve learned that dainty rings can make a big statement, too. This goes for necklaces as well.

Cher Lloyd Thanks to mini-she (my daughter) and her music playlist, I’ve been hooked on Cher Lloyd’s songs. Between my car and at home in her room, cher’s on non-stop. Also loving Jayme Dee.

Nudes Just like my lips, I like nudes on my nails for summer. Plus, I’m terrible at keeping up with my manicures; I can go weeks with chipped nails…eek! At least nude colors don’t stand out as much! Finally found the perfect set from Butter London.

White Denim Seriously obsessed with white denim; I currently have two pairs in rotation. As you can see, it’s center stage in my collage because I envision wearing it with everything around it.

Hope you enjoyed seeing what’s on my radar. Are any of my cravings your cravings?

On My Radar: Elisse

I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! We are very pleased to have Elisse from Fur Elisse. Elisse has a great blog that you should definitely check out. We have communicated regularly on our blogs and twitter since she took part in our Christmas Card Exchange back in December and now, we will find out what is on Elisse's radar!

I’m so humbled to be writing a guest post for Tracy and Jessica. Isn’t this a fun blog to read? I always find myself inspired by their posts! Thanks again for the opportunity to share what’s on my radar!
Lately I’ve been itching to transition into “Spring” mode, waiting for the weather to change, and transitioning my wardrobe accordingly. I can’t wait to spend more time in the sunshine! How have you been holding up this winter?

My next accessory purchase: Red Tote Bag
I am seeing structured bags on the rise again, and want to invest in a good tote. Nothing says confident like the color red, and I think this color/style combination results in a classic bag that is on trend all year long.

Makeup to Try: YSL Touche Eclat – Radiant Touch
I read several positive reviews about this skin highlighter after a friend recommended I give it a try. The price might be steep for my wallet, but I’m willing to see if it is worth it for me!

This show has not let me down. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I get introduced to another deception or twist in the storyline.

Website I Stalk on the Daily: JCrew.com
I’ve been on the hunt for blouses, and their Blythe silk blouses have me dreaming of endless outfit combinations.

App of the Moment: Near Me
I just downloaded “Near Me” on my iPhone and like the instant options I get when I’m in any neighbourhood and looking for a place to dine or grab a cup of coffee.

Quote: “Let go of the outcome.”
I first heard this quote during one of my yoga classes, and I haven’t shaken it since. We can become consumed with worry and expectation about the final goal, that we forget the importance of how we got there.

Thanks again to Tracy and Jessica for giving me the opportunity to be a guest blogger!

On My Radar: Star-Crossed Smile

Hello! We have another installment in our guest post series #OnMyRadar today. This time we have the wonderful Nnenna from Star-Crossed Smile. I first met Nnenna when I decided to take part in the Correspondence Club that Nnenna organizes. This is a great way to get to know other bloggers by writing letters to each other. I always love going to the mail box and finding something other than junk and bills in there. Thank you Nnenna for guest posting for us today! Now, let's get to the post and see what is currently on Nnenna's radar.

Hi there! This is Nnenna of star-crossed smile and I'm so excited to be guest posting on Sunny Days and Starry Nights today. I think Tracy and Jessica have a wonderful blog and I've personally corresponded with Tracy through the Correspondence Club, so I know both girls are such sweethearts. Take a look at what's "on my radar" and let me know what you're currently coveting in the comments below!

1. Fashion: Tinley Road Bleecker BlazerOne of my resolutions this year is to totally revamp my closet. I want to get rid of the stuff that doesn't fit or that I haven't worn in years and fill my closet with pieces that I absolutely love. I'm starting by going back to the basics and I've been on the hunt for a great black blazer that fits to a tee and makes me feel awesome when I wear it- I think this one might be just the ticket!

2. Accessory: Emerald Galaxy BibI don't wear a ton of accessories but I firmly believe in the power of a great statement necklace. It's the perfect way to add a little extra oomph to an otherwise simple outfit. You've probably heard that emerald is the new hot color for spring and I'm loving this emerald pick from BaubleBar.

3. Music: Suit & Tie by Justin Timberlake (imagevideo)- At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this song- do I love it because it's JT or do I hate it because of all the hype? Well, on the second listen I decided I love it, especially when the beat picks up a little way into the song. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of what he has in store!

4. Movie: Django Unchained (image, imdb)- I saw this movie over the holidays and it was AWESOME. Action, suspense, drama, and comedy all rolled into one movie. I know Tarantino's style is not for everyone, but if you're a fan, I'm pretty sure you're going to love this movie.

5. Books: Where'd You Go, Bernadette, Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, Rules of CivilitySo I'm kind of reading three books at once right now. I bought Where'd You Go, Bernadette via iTunes last week because I'd heard it was funny and a good read, which is exactly what I needed after the last book I read. However, since I'm forced to read it on my phone, it's pretty slow-going (not the book's fault- my phone is just too small!). Then I picked up Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore from a friend because it's been on my to-read list for a while and I need the feeling of a real book in my hands to balance out reading on my teeny phone screen. Lastly, I've been on the waiting list to download Rules of Civility from the New York Public Library forever (ok, not really, but it has been a few months) and last night I finally got the email that I'd reached the top of the list. I can only borrow it for 21 days, so I need to download and read this one as well before my hold expires!

6. Stationery: isavirtueMy blog friend Kaitlyn runs my favorite stationery shop on Etsy.  It's the perfect place to go when I need to stock up on cute and affordable writing supplies (which is constantly thanks to the Correspondence Club :). You should definitely take a look at her new line- it's fully of cute and cheeky phrases that I used as a teen and totally makes me feel like I'm back in homeroom passing notes to a friend.

7. Store: MadewellHave you seen Madewell's new spring lookbook? Well I'm pretty much loving everything they're putting out. And I totally swooned when I saw the look above- I'll take one of each please!

8. Lipstick: MAC Dark Side (image, buy here)- I'm a fairly recent lipstick convert and I'm loving this lipstick. It's the perfect burgundy color and glides on so smoothly, I forget I'm wearing makeup half the time! It is the perfect way to add a little color to my face when I'm not in the mood to go too bright. And it makes me feel like I'm a little edgy (even though I'm not, really ;)

A huge thanks to Tracy and Jessica for allowing me to guest post on their blog today and I can't wait to hear about what's on your radar below!

On My Radar: by Dela Chic

Hi, we are very happy to have Christine from Dela Chic here with us today taking part in our guest post series called #OnMyRadar. Christine has a fantastic blog and an etsy shop with the most adorable items in it. You really need to check it out, I love everything she makes especially the owls.

Hello! My name is Christine and I am so honored to be a guest on Tracy and Jessica's blog today to share "what's on my radar". I hope you all enjoy my little round up of my favorite things and at the same time get to know a little about me. Thank you Tracy and Jessica for such a wonderful opportunity!
Favorite Item of Fashion: I am currently lusting over anything green lately. I hate to call myself "trendy" but once Pantone called emerald the color for 2013, I gave it a second look and said "yeah, I really like it". As much as I love the color, a little green goes a long way because there's a line between fashionable and being on a St. Patrick's Day Parade float.

Favorite Accessory: I love accessories. From statement necklaces, arm parties, rose gold watches, studded bracelets, so on and so on. My ultimate accessory that I love and wear day in and day out is my wedding band and engagement ring because it reminds me of an unforgettable day.

Who I'm Listening To: I love a catchy song that I can listen to in the car or in the gym. Right now it's Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars. Am I the only one who thinks this song has a very Sting or Police kind of feel to it? I just showed my age there, huh? Anyway, I'm sure all of the stations are blowing it up right now and I'll be sick of it in two months. Like I said, I love a catchy tune and I have to support a fellow Filipino...he's half so he's pretty much family.
Locked Out of Heaven- Bruno Mars
What I'm Watching: I am a glutton for reality television, well most of what's on the Bravo network. When I realized that it's the only thing that I watched all the time, I had to change it up! As much as I love the drama whether it's real or not, I knew I had to stop when I started quoting some of the things they say. Here are just some of what I watch on a weekly basis. It's quite eclectic I know. Not pictured: Amish Mafia because I'm still not sure about it, but I can't stop watching it!

Favorite Getaway: I never thought I'd call myself a "cruiser" but I am. I've been on two cruises to the Caribbean and I can't wait to go on my next one, whenever that will be. It's such a great way to see so many places in one trip. Next stop will have Turks and Caicos in it!
GrandIMG_1930

Favorite Food: When it comes to Filipino food especially made by my Mama or anyone in my family, it's over! I mean it! Maybe because I don't cook Filipino dishes at home and that I don't have it often. Hands down it is my ultimate favorite.

On My Radar: By What Mimi Writes

We are excited to start our first guest series. In On My Radar some of our favorite bloggers and truly fabulous women will share a few of their current favorites. To kick off the series is Mimi from What Mimi Writes. Mimi's blog is a constant source of inspiration from makeup, to fashion, to food, and everything in between so if you are not already following Mimi make sure you begin doing so ASAP. But for now, take it away Mimi.

Happy Thursday! ☺
Hi, guys! My name is Mimi from What Mimi Writes What Mimi Writes, and I am very happy to be guest posting here today! Sunny Days and Starry Nights was one of the very first blogs I’ve ever visited – Tracy and Jessica are also two of my very first bloggie friends! And that is why I was so honored when Tracy emailed me and asked me if I would like to start off their new series here on their awesome blog! ☺
This new series is a large round up of the things I (and a lot of other lovely bloggers, I’m sure) are currently loving, these are things that are on our radar. Let’s start?

1. Item of fashion on my radar: Smoking Slippers
I have been wanting a pair ever since I first saw these in magazines and fashion blogs – they look so pretty and so comfy, right?! I saw a black studded pair when I went to DSW, and I think that’s it for me, haha! ;)

2. Accessories on my radar: Statement Earrings and Statement Necklaces
I’ve noticed that I have been buying and buying statement earrings and statement necklaces – I just can’t stop, haha! It’s good though because these pieces will definitely last a long time. Plus, a girl can never have enough accessories, right? ;)

3. Song on my radar: Want U Back by Cher Lloyd ]
This song is so catchy and so fun! ☺

4. Movie on my radar: Les Misérables ]
How amazing does this look?! I get goosebumps every time I watch this trailer. Anne Hathaway better win an award for this!

5. Quote on my radar: “If it’s meant to be, it will be.”
This is so true! ☺

6. Flower on my radar: Peonies
My favorite flowers are yellow roses, but this one is slowly climbing the charts. ;)

7. Getaway on my radar: Bora Bora
It looks like such a beautiful place! Imagine sitting there, surrounded by the gorgeous ocean, enjoying breakfast (which they bring to you by boat!), and just jumping out when you want to go for a swim = perfect! ☺

8. Book on my radar: The Defining Decade
I am in my early twenties and I guess it’s safe to say that I pretty much have no concrete idea on what I want to do with my life, haha! Hopefully, reading this book will give me a sense of where to start. ;)

9. Restaurant and food on my radar: Ladurée/ French Macarons
My sister said macarons from Ladurée are THE best – she said they are heavenly, so airy, and they melt in your mouth. How perfect does that sound?! ☺

10. Lipstick on my radar: YSL ROUGE VOLUPTÉ Lipstick
I’ve heard so many positive things about this lipstick! According to magazines and blog posts I’ve read, these are the creamiest ever! I definitely want to get one soon, but now the question is… which shade to choose? ;)

There we have it – I hope you guys enjoyed reading this guest post! A big hug and a big thank you to Tracy and Jessica for asking me to write a guest post for them – I had a blast writing this! ☺

Love, Mimi
