Apron / Mixed Mineral Napkin Rings (love these!) / Marble Pastry Slab / Serving Set / Bottle Stopper / Platter / Batter Bowl / Kitchen Towel / Marble Rolling Pin (beautiful) / Bowl Set / Fluted Biscuit Cutter Set / Flared Bowls / Pitcher / Napkin Set / Stool (so pretty) / Mini Bundt Pan / Gold Place Setting / Appetizer Plates / Cake Plate / Salt and Pepper Shakers / Bar Cart / Chargers / Bakers Twine / Salad Bowls

I have just received several new items for my kitchen that I love, including a Kitchenaid mixer. I have had a Kitchenaid mixer at the top of my wish list for years but had held off on purchasing one because they are pricey. I was incredibly surprised when I received one for my birthday last weekend. Now I cannot wait to try it out and I am looking forward to spending even more time in my kitchen in the upcoming months.

As I am looking forward to heading into fall I also want to pick up a few more new kitchen updates. Fall to me means spending more time entertaining friends and hosting family dinners. It would be great to have some pretty new additions like these napkin rings that I am crazy for and since I have recently gotten into baking homemade pies this marble rolling pin that is absolutely beautiful.

Chit Chat: The Last Few Weeks

Chit Chat: The Last Few Weeks
The last few weeks have been very hectic for me and Tracy. During the week, we always have very busy work schedules. We leave for work at 7am every morning. Tracy doesn't make it home from work until around 6pm and sometimes when she has court it is even later than that (a few times it has been been between midnight and 1 am). The time I make it home varies greatly depending on what I have to do after school. If I'm tutoring I don't get home until 5:30, if I help with an academic team match it's 7:30, and sometimes (very rarely and oh how I love these days) I don't have anything to do after the students are dismissed and I make it home by 3:30.

For the past month though, our weekends have been just as busy as our work weeks. It's not that we have had work to do on the weekends, but our social calendars have been filled up. We have had company and have spent several weekends hosting movie and board game nights (our cousin owns over 150 board games!). We have spent a weekend in Tennessee with the family taking in some early Christmas sights. We have hosted book club for our third book club meeting. Tracy spent a few days away at a conference. We have spent last weekend getting everything ready to go to NYC. Then we spent Thanksgiving week in NYC. We didn't make it home until very late on Saturday night. Sunday was spent putting things up, preparing for work the next day, and relaxing.

So we have been having a blast and staying very busy. What's been happening in your life?

Happy Weekend

Wise Words by Marilyn Monroe
I for one am super excited about this weekend. A little confession is that I took today off from work and did lots of errands. Now I am hoping that the rest of my weekend will center around my house. I want nothing more than to watch a couple movies, get some extra rest, cuddle with my cat, and relax. For Easter my entire family will meet up at my Grandmother's house for dinner. What are your plans for the weekend?

A Few Updates

I have been very busy lately and so has my blog. While I have a few quiet moments I want to discuss a few things that have been going on. We recently finished hosting a wonderful giveaway sponsored by the lovely Sima. Sima makes darling personalized jewelry that you can purchase on either Etsy or her other shop. You may have noticed our blog recently got a new look and we couldn't be more excited. Nikki of Delightful Designs was an absolute sweetheart who put a lot of effort into pleasing two girls whose tastes can be as different as well.. night and day. She has an Etsy shop where you can find all of her creations, such as wonderful cards and stationary like the one pictured above, and lists of her services. If you don't see exactly what you want please do not hesitate to contact her. She is amazing to work with. If you are looking from some adorable accessories visit The Shop of Wordly Delights. I recently received the cutest owl pins and I now have my eye on mischievous fox in a bandit mask.
