Being Thankful

being thankful
I have been experiencing a series of setbacks and let-downs lately. Combined with how hectic things have been and I have realized that I am just kind of going through the motions of day-to-day life without taking any time to appreciate all of the little things I love about this time of the year.

October through December is my favorite time of the year. To me it will always be kind of magical. I love the festivities, the celebrations, and the traditions. My plans for the next couple months include slowing down, taking some time to myself, remembering to be thankful for all of the little things that make everyday life special, focusing on getting some needed rest, and then regrouping. So here is to enjoying the rest of November and getting excited about the upcoming holidays.

So whether it is the smell in the air, the crunch of the leaves under my feet, or having cinnamon in my hot chocolate I am going to appreciate the little things in life and practice being grateful. After all it is the most wonderful time of the year.

Chit Chat

I am so excited about Thanksgiving this week. Who wouldn't be excited? I only have two days of work this week, which leaves me with plenty of time to have fun with the family and my friends. There will be tons of delicious food and desserts at everyone's house. We will be having some of our family favorites plus a few new things that we want to try out. There will be a huge family gathering at my grandmas house with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Then tons of Black Friday shopping with my siblings. I am hoping to finish up my Christmas shopping this week. Then I can busy myself with wrapping and delivering presents and mailing out my Christmas cards. What are you looking forward too this Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is a time to remember how thankful you are for your family, friends, and every other wonderful thing in your life. Being thankful for something means that you are truly grateful for it. That you appreciate it and know your life would be different without it. When you are thankful for something or someone you know just how much that someone or something means to you. This Thanksgiving we should all show just how thankful we are and let the people we are thankful for, know just how much we appreciate them.
