Back to the Future

The 80's were filled with great cartoons and if you were anything like me you woke up early on Saturday mornings to watch them. There was dozens of wonderful cartoons including Pound Puppies, the Smurfs, Strawberry Shortcake, and Rose Petal. Few of todays cartoons measure up. Below is a few of my favorites from the 80s. How doesn't think Care Bears are one of the cutest things in the world? All of their messages of caring, loving, and friendship is just what every little kid needs to learn. What little girl didn't want to own a My Little Pony? Colorful horses with even more colorful manes. My favorite was Applejack. Rainbow Brite was always busy saving the world with the help of the Color Kids. And who can forget all of those adorable Sprites. It's because of them the world was filled with beautiful colors. She-ra The Princess of Power may just have been my absolute favorite. I loved watching She-ra and the companion cartoon He-man which starred her twin brother. Me and my friends spent hours almost daily pretending to be She-ra and He-man, battling the forces of evil.

Are you too a child of the 80's? If so, what was your favorite cartoons?
