Unconventional Bride

A couple weeks ago I went dress shopping with my sister for her upcoming wedding and I saw many simply stunning traditional dresses. While these dresses were beautiful and would make any girl feel like a princess I think if the day comes that I'm shopping for my own wedding dress I will not go the white gown route, instead I will be choosing an unconventional color (likely blush). I'm also rather smitten with the polka dot gown above. Would you consider wearing a nontraditional gown at your wedding?

  3. I got married in an orange dress from Forever21, nothing conventional really about our wedding! Although I'd admit it wasn't an uber glamours dress but it made me feel confident and pretty which is important.

  4. I want to get married again (to my husband, of course) so I can have another wedding. I had a pretty traditional dress, but only because I didn't really want to have a ceremony for myself then, and my parents wanted a white gown (I did ivory). Now, though, I want a full-blown unconventional wedding!

  5. Like Laura, I really want to get hitched to my husband again so I can have a wedding do-over that includes a gown from Vera Wang's super non-traditional black dress collection.

  6. I wore a white gown with a purple sash for my wedding and loved the pop of color. I also love all the blush gowns and blue gowns that are popular right now.

  7. the first dress is absolutely amazing! in fact they're all lovely :) but I would have to go for a white dress, just so that everyone would know I was the bride! and because then it would feel like a true wedding day xo

  9. I love that polka dot dress! I went traditional and don't regret it... but, I am going to plan a re-commitment ceremony for our ten year anniversary where I will wear something non-traditional!

  11. LOVE all these unconventional brides! I am an unconvetional bride. My engagement ring has an emerald as it's center stone. I always get lots of compliments on it, and I've never seen anyone else where an emerald stone as their engagement ring! Perhaps I'm in such a conservative state!
    XOXO

  12. I wasn't a traditional "bride". My husband and I got married in a chapel. Just the two of us. I did not wear a dress. But, if I do have a celebration one day, I'll wear a white dress.
    The last dress is gorgeous!

  13. I had the traditional white (ivory) dress. I thought about having my husband and I change into the traditional Korean wedding attire and traditional Filipino wedding attire, but thought it would just take time away from celebrating with our families and friends....so we just stuck with our tux and gown :)

  14. I love the first picture, so unique and chic! Personally, had I found that pink dress at a reasonable price ( that is less than my car's price), it would have been my weeding dress. Awesome post! xoxo
