What to Wear: To the Ballet

Last summer when Tracy and I made our 101 in 1001 Day we both put going to the ballet on our lists. Neither of us had ever been, but we both had wanted to go. Instead of getting tickets for just one ballet, we purchased a set of tickets for three different ballets. What a great idea this was! We have loved the ballet. First we went to Hard Rock, which is where ballet was put to popular classic rock songs. Then back in December we went to The Nutcracker. It was absolutely beautiful and such a great ballet. We go again to the ballet this coming weekend and I can't wait. We are already looking forward to getting more ballet tickets. Have you ever been? If not, you definitely need to as soon as possible.
Since we are going to the ballet this weekend, I have decided to do my #whattowear post this week on what to wear to the ballet. When going to the ballet you need to wear a nice dress or a pair of dress pants with a beautiful top. You do not need to go all out in some kind of cocktail dress or evening gown, but you do not want to go in jeans. I would love to have this and this to wear to the ballet.
What to Wear: The Ballet

Blush Studded Dress - Cluster Earrings - Butter London Cuppa Nail Polish - RMK Irresistible Pink Lipstick - Small Bar Necklace - Faux Leather Clutch - Black Pointy Flats

What to Wear to the ballet

Polka Dot Dress - Twisted Pearls - Doir Cherie Bow Nail Polish - Pink Studded Clutch - Pointy Toe Pump
I would definitely love to have both of these outfits in my closet. They would be perfect for my future trips to the ballet. What will you be doing this weekend?

  11. Ballet is so much fun! I wanted to be a performer at one point, and actually did it as my school sport from middle school through high school. These are definitely cute and pretty appropriate outfits to wear to a performance, though how fancy or casual you can be will also depend on the time of day and the location, but overall, these are definitely great! I'm obsessed with the clutch in the first one. It's absolutely gorgeous! I hope you enjoy the next performance you attend!

  13. Both really are great outfits to wear:) I've never seen a ballet performance before. I have been to the opera though, and I think for a matinee, these outfits would work too:)
