Chit-Chat

This past weekend was exactly what I have been needing. I was able to get so much done at home, but I also had plenty of time to relax and rest up for the busy week that I know is ahead of me. This week I am going to have a lot of tasks on my to-do list that I need to get finished right off the bat. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to stop and find joy in the little things that are all around us. Here are some examples of the things that bring me joy:

Pajamas at the end of a long, stressful day of work just bring me so much joy and relief when I put them on.

Elderly couples, you know the kind I'm talking about. The little, old couples with gray and white hair that are just so sweet looking while taking care of each other.

Cozy fires on cold, gloomy, wintery days are just so relaxing.

Baby laughter is the sound of pure joy. I don't think there is anything that sounds as cute and happy as a baby laughing.

Stacks of books that I haven't read yet can bring me so much joy.

So what little things bring you joy?

  7. I love seeing other people being happy about their lives. I am almost always happy if I'm around people, or if I read a book that pulls me into its world so well I forget my own existence. I'm happy to see my friends after the end of stressful days, and happy when Campus Canines brings dogs to my university that really just want to be cuddled by every human they meet because they're so sweet and lovely and happy to see people. Also, dogs in costumes. There's nothing cuter.
