What Do You Do For Exercise?
I have never been athletic (and never will be) and I am honestly not a fan of working out. Any form of exercise has been very sporadic for me lately. While far from the most aggressive workout before we all started our current jobs me and my two sisters walked 4 miles a day almost everyday with each other. It was a nice way to be active while spending time with my sisters. Plus, having the two of them to talk to made the time spent walking pass quickly. With all of the health benefits that accompany working out I need to start incorporating some activity in my life on a regular basis. I need to find something fun and something that wouldn't be too intense for me. Jackie does ballet on a regular basis and I find seriously impressive but it is something way beyond my skill level. What do you do for exercise? I would also love to know how you fit it into your schedule.

  1. I love to run when it isn't icy out like today (in march honestly?). It just makes me feel so good and stress free. I also love Jillian michaels workouts because they kick your butt but you do see and feel results. I also have recently tried and really enjoyed spinning! It was really hard but I felt so accomplished afterwards and I have been going back week after week to feel that high! I try to get stuff in 4 times a week. I would love to do more, but with my current work schedule right now I am not going to beat myself up! I love evening workouts right before dinner.

  2. I used to work out all the time, but have only done it here and there now. I really need to get in gear and start doing it every day as I feel a little out of shape now. Though, trying to find time to sleep is a struggle at the moment too, haha!! x

  3. I'm sort of all over the place with my exercise routine. There's a dinky little gym in my apartment building so I try to visit it at least once a week for 20 minutes on the elliptical or bike and then 20 minutes of weights and stretching. Additionally, I own a motley collection of workout videos, a mat, and hand weights so at least three other days a week my routine is to do 20-40 minutes first thing when I get home from work. So I'm getting in a workout at least four days a week. May to September I also ride my bike to and from work so that helps out a lot!

  4. I love walking. However, I dont' do it everyday. I need to! Also need to tone up. Light weights usually help.

  5. I really really don't like exercise. I know that I should but I can never bring myself to do it! I do get a tiny bit of exercise in since I walk nearly more than mile to and from work each day.

  7. K & I rarely exercise too...it's a problem! Plus, we're finding that working a 9-5 job at an office desk isn't doing anything great for our figures. We've been doing Tone It Up DVDs and Nike Training Club (iPhone app) workouts. They're only 15 minutes long...but we figure it's better than nothing!

  8. I used to be much better about working out, and am trying to get back into a routine this spring. I'll usually do a Jillian Michaels fitness DVD or go for a walk. I'm also trying to get back into running, which really made a huge difference for me a couple years ago. It was hard at first, since I'm also not athletic, but my body adjusted and got used to it.

  9. I walk to and from work. It's two miles each way and only about 25 minutes.

  10. Now that I'm pregnant I don't really jog anymore but I do yoga 3 times a week. I never had such a regular strength training workout (I do the intermediate/advanced classes) and it's really changed my body. I'm excited to continue once I have the baby and incorporate it into my running! I do many of the yoga classes at home via the internet!!! LOVE!!

  12. thanks for the shoutout :) you could do something like a barre class or yoga. I've been pretty lazy lately because the weather is so crappy but hoping to get back into the gym soon. I also sometimes do the ballet beautiful dvd's at home so then I don't even need to leave the house!
