Chit Chat: Summer To-Do List
It is so cliché to say this but I honestly have no idea where time goes. It seems like just a few days ago I was celebrating Christmas, then I turned around and BAM! we have already finished 6 months of 2014. How can this be?

I started off the year with all these big plans that involved being better to myself, finding a new job, and enjoying life. Instead work, mundane tasks, and obligations always seem to be in the way and leave me with zero time for anything else. In hopes of craving out a little time for myself, getting a few things accomplished, and enjoying summer I have created list of goals I intend to complete by the end of the season.

1. Find a green smoothie recipe I enjoy and make it a part of my morning routine. (If you have any tips please share!)

2. Complete a few fun DIYs that I have been wanting to do for a few months.

3. Go to the planetarium.

4. Host brunch after mastering a French toast casserole.

5. Finally spring clean.

6. Sign up for an online calligraphy class.

7. Schedule a pedicure and dinner with my mom.

8. Tackle at least half of the huge stack of books waiting near my bed to be read.

9. Have lunch al fresco more often.

10. Spend a couple days exploring local places.

What are a few things you plan to enjoy or accomplish this summer?

  2. Honestly, I feel like I could have written this post. Where did the last six months go? Why have I not found a job yet? How do I waste so much time on the mundane tasks of every day life?

I would love to second getting a peddi with my mom, eating outside more, and finally reading one of the many books waiting for me.

I also want to see some fireworks this year, go on a little staycation and oh yeah, find a job!

  4. I feel the exact same way!! This is a great list--I like that you included things you WANT to do instead of just things you need to do. :) I need to do something similar!

  5. Great list, and someone needs to make it happen that there are more hours in a day! I love your plan to take a calligraphy course if you've found one, I'd love to hear a bit more about it.

  9. I hope you get to fulfill the items on your wish list! I am happy enough to make time for friends - because I can always say I'm too busy, but what really needs to happen is
that I set aside the time and intention to be around the people I love the most!

  10. I have a DIY I want to do so badly! I want to take an old dresser from Craigslist, remove the top row of drawers, drill holes in the back for cords, and chalk paint the whole think a distressed Tiffany blue for a new entertainment center!
I just don't have anywhere to do it lol. Unless my MIL lets me use her backyard!
