Happy Weekend!

This has been my last week of Summer break. I don't have to start teaching until the beginning of August, but beginning next week I will be busy everyday with school related events. Next week our math department will be meeting to discuss curriculum mapping, teaching strategies, etc. We will be planning for the school year and making sure everything is aligned with standards. Then the last two weeks of July the science teacher and I will be starting classes to work on our next degree and our National Boards certification. So my break is almost officially up.

I spent this last week doing all of the things that I enjoy in my free time. It began with my birthday celebration with my family were we played lots of board games and ate great food. I spent time at the local library and checked out several books that I read this week. I tried several new recipes that will be appearing on the blog soon, one of which is the best chili dog recipe ever. Seriously, this was the best chili I've ever eaten.

This weekend I will be spending time with my best friends and enjoying the weekend with them. Plus I will have book club to attend that will be hosted by my cousin. I'm really looking forward to it because I loved the book! What are your weekend plans?
