DIY Glitter Jewelry Dish
Lately me and Jessica have been in a crafting state of mind. I am so a wannabe Martha Stewart with
very limited DIY skills. One of coworkers had these little glitter dishes on her desk holding gold paperclips and random odds and ends. I commented on them a couple weeks ago. After she told me how easily she made them I knew they would make adorable jewelry dishes. With just a few dollars worth of supplies and less than 30 minutes (if you don't include time for drying) me and Jessica made two beautiful jewelry dishes.
Supplies:
Glitter
Elmer's Glue
Triple Thick Glaze
Paint Brush
Clear Dishes (we purchased ours at Target for $1)
1. Using your brush cover your entire dish including edges with glue.
2. Cover the entire dish with glitter. Shake it off and then allow to dry completely.
3. Repeat the process on any spots that you missed.
4. Clean your brush.
4. Once the all the glue is completely dried using your brush completely cover the dish in two-three thin layers of the glaze. Allow to dry between each coat.
Once the final coat is dry you have pretty glittery dishes to store your jewelry on.
Next up is finding a couple smaller dishes to turn into glittery accents for my desk.
