What To Wear: Polka Dots

I love stripes just as much as any other girl (evidenced by posts here and here) but if I had to choose a pattern that speaks to me the most it would be polka dots. Surprisingly, while it is so easy for me to find striped pieces to add to my closet coming across polka dot pieces is seemingly much more difficult. I love the look of pairing different color polka dot pieces or different sizes of dots like I did in this week's #whattowear. I fell in love with this silk Equipment top upon first seeing it. Since polka dots in my opinion create a big impact I kept the jewelry simple with dainty gold pieces. Am I the only one who cannot get enough of arrow cuffs?

Guest Post: Priscila Peters Decor / Navajo Inspired Prints

I am incredibly excited to introduce you to our guest blogger today. Priscila is the creator of the inspirational blog Priscila Peters Decor. Priscila has flawless style and she is constantly influencing how I want my home to look. Do yourself a favor and if you are not already following Priscila head over to her blog right after you read her guest post.

Hi there! I'm Priscila from PriscilaPetersDecor and it's my pleasure to be sharing a post here with you. I'm passionate about interior design and the same way fashion is used to express yourself, I believe decor is, too!
Navajo is a style we've seen on runaway and decor. Who has never seen a Navajo blanket?   Rugs and blankets are the most popular Navajo items, but after navigating on Etsy for only two minutes I was able to find a lot more, including a fabulous Iphone case.

A great way to achieve this style is keeping in mind that less is more. Use Navajo pieces in a neutral, clean and organic space.  If you feel like trying this look in your home, start slowly with a rug, then work your way adding pillows and stop when you feel that the room has a harmonious balance.

I personally adore Navajo patterns! They know best how to use colors. I want to hear from you: Do you love or hate Navajo style?
Hope you all enjoyed the post! Tracy, thank you for the opportunity. Love it!!

Tropical Punch

My parents headed off on a cruise to the Bahamas yesterday. Thinking about their vacation has me imaging sandy beaches, ocean breezes, and crystal clear waters. I have always loved a great print and bold, tropical prints are no exception. One of the great things about big island blooms is that they make getting dressed simple as they require few accessories and if you wear a tropical print top or bottom simply pair it with a neutral.

Charming In Chevrons

Last week I shared my love for chevrons (here), but even more than decorating with this fun pattern I love its use in fashion. Chevrons have been popping up everywhere. I love that it makes a strong statement and hints at preppy chic. Unlike straight lines, chevrons create movement which results in a slimming and flattering pattern.
