The Beauty Lineup Spring 2013

Every season brings new fashion trends and new makeup trends. This Spring red lips are going to be everywhere. Not just the bright bold red lips- any shade of red will work. I prefer the muted red tones they are are little softer. Bold dark eyes are going to be big as well. Go bold with the black eyeliner and the lush lashes. Don't like the fake lashes? Then add a little mascara. Shades of blue and green are going to be the go to colors for eye shadow. Also, remember to apply your spf to protect your skin from the sun. This and this are must haves for me this Spring!

Hello Spring!

Hello Spring! Today is the official start of Spring! I hope all of the snow days are behind us. Welcome Spring! I welcome your warm sunshine, the extra hours of sunshine, and the fact that the cold snowy weather is behind us! I'm not sure how much time I will have to really welcome spring today, but it will get a wonderful welcome this weekend. I have put together a few ways to welcome spring.

1. Have a picnic.
2. Spend time outside, just relaxing in the sunshine. Maybe while you read a good book?
3. Grab lunch or a break outside with a friend.
4. Bring Spring into your home with some flowers or open a window.
5. Blow some bubbles.
How are you going to welcome spring this year?

A Place in the Sun

I know we have talked about statement accessories before. I personally love statement necklaces. Since acquiring my first beautiful statement necklace at Christmas from Tracy, I have purchased several others. We have also posted about statement earrings before too. While I find these beautiful, they just are not for me. With the arrival of March, Spring has unofficially begun. Here we have started off with snow and freezing weather, but the weather is looking a lot nicer this upcoming week. Spring and Summer always make me think of sunglasses. During the sunny days of Spring and Summer they are a must have accessory for me. If I am not wearing them when I leave the house, they are in bag so that I can pull them out when needed. Lately I have seen a lot of websites with very embellished sunglasses- statement sunglasses. I love these cases for sunglasses, they are so cute. I have put together a few of my favorite pairs and you can see two pairs that I would absolutely love to have here and here.
Statement Sunglasses

Anthropologie Multi-Colored Glasses - Moon and Stars Sunglasses - Cat Eye Crystal Sunglasses - White Flower Embellished Sunglasses - Floral Embellished Sunglasses - Flying Bird Sunglasses - Neon Floral Sunglasses - Faux Pearl and Crystal Sunglasses

Are you into statement sunglasses? While some of them would just be too much for me, I do love the moon and stars pair above. They are so beautiful. Do you like the embellished sunglasses or do you prefer the simple frames? Are sunglasses a must have accessory for you like they are for me in the Spring and Summer?

Stylish for Less: Spring Dresses

March has arrived and for me that means Spring is just around the corner. I would say that Spring has unofficially arrived, but here it is snowing and I don't associate snow with Spring time. To me Spring means sunny days with perfect temperatures. Days when you can see the flowers beginning to bloom and the butterflies starting to flutter about. When I think about Spring, I also think about shedding those winter layers and wearing beautiful Spring dresses.
What better way to celebrate Spring dresses than with a Stylish for Less post? As you may know, we have a series called Stylish for Less. This series is all about beautiful clothes at a steal. Below you will find five beautiful Spring dresses for under $25.

When it comes to Spring I think creams, brights, and nautical. Are you ready for Spring?

Looks Bright

Neon colors are very beautiful. The greens, yellows, oranges, and pinks are so bright and cheerful. You can't help but be happy around these neon colors. They are eye-catching and bold. They can definitely make a statement and you are sure to be noticed when wearing them.
I know some people wear outfits that are filled with the bold neons or they wear neons for the main portion of their outfits. While this is very beautiful, I just do not have the courage to create looks like this. I am kind of shy and prefer to not be the focus of attention. I would feel like everyone was looking at me and I would feel very self-conscious. I love neon colors though and I find that they are wonderful in small amounts. For example I would not feel comfortable in a bold neon green top alone, but love this color of top when paired with a navy blazer. Other than neon accessories, I love neon shoes and have been on the search for the perfect pair. Hopefully, in my upcoming shopping trip I will finally find the perfect pair. Here are some pairs of neon shoes that I have found online:

Neon Shoes

JCrew Neon Flats - JCrew Neon Flats - Neon Cap Toe Ballet Flats - Two Tone Neon Flats - Ella Moss Lanie Flats - Neon Leopard Print Flats - Clear Neon Oxfords - Steve Madden Neon Oxfords - Neon Cap Toe Pump - Neon Peep Toe Pump - Neon Wedge - Just a Touch of Neon Heels - Neon Pink Pump - Neon Pointy Toe Pump

What are your thoughts on neon colors? Are you bold enough for a full on neon outfit or are you more like me? Do you currently own any neon items, that you love to wear?

A Blast from the Pastel

This Spring pastels are going to be a huge trend. For me they are more than just some trend though. I love pastels. The dainty, feminine colors are soft and appropriate for almost every occasion. I wear them year round. Pastels go great with other pastels. I would love a mint and peach outfit, as mint is my favorite pastel. Not a fan of the all pastels looks? They also go great with neutrals and paired with bright colors.
Here are some beautiful pastel items that I would love to add to my closet before Spring officially arrives. The pastel item that I want the most is a mint blazer. I hope I can find one soon. What pastel item would you want the most?
