Espadrilles for Spring

Flamingo Print Lace Ups - Painted Stripes - Blue and White Striped - Jungle Green - Tribal Print
Black and White - Floral Print - Pastel Pink - Faux Leather - Leopard Print

Espadrilles for Spring
Most of the time I'm all about dressing in what is going to be comfortable and easy. As a teacher I am constantly on the go at school. I feel like I spend a good portion of my day just walking around my classroom making sure students are on task and monitoring so that I can determine who needs help and then help them.

Espadrilles are a perfect shoe for Spring. They are easy to slip on and with all the prints and colors you can easily find several pairs that you will absolutely love. Another great thing about these shoes is that all of the pairs above are under $50. I love these because of the fun print. They would be perfect for my trip to the beach in May. I also love this pair because they are such a pretty color. What do you think about espadrilles?

Stylish for Less: Spring Dresses
Let's just face it, dresses are a must-have item for Spring. Everyone should have a few (and by few I mean a dozen or so) good Spring dresses. These dress should be pretty, cool, and easy to wear. Spring is about breaking out of thick layers we had to wear all Winter and finally getting out to have some fun. Whether you are meeting friends for lunch, running errands, going to work, or spending the day out and about you need some great dresses. I love this dress for lunch with friends. It has a great color and cute print. This $20 option would be the perfect dress from for me to wear while spending the day outside enjoying the good weather. It would be perfect for a picnic or a wear to the park. Which dress would you wear where?

I love all of the options above. They are mainly under $100 with only two of them being exactly $100. These dresses would all go great with sandals, flats, or heels depending on your preference or where you are going in it. What to Wear: Spring Uniform

Tortoise Shell Sunglasses - Kate Spade Pearl Studs - Mother of Pearl Pendant - Fossil Trench Coat classic must-have - Lace Trimmed Cotton Dress great Spring dress - Ciate Ultimate Oppulence Nail Polish - Michael Kors Tote - Leopard Print Flats LOVE these - Umbrella

What to Wear: Spring Uniform
This is the perfect look for a Spring day. When you picture a beautiful Spring day, what do you picture someone wearing? The ultimate Spring uniform to me is a classic trench-a shorter version not full length, a cute sundress, flats, and a tote bag. I'm currently loving this Fossil trench coat. You definitely need a tote bag to carry around whatever you will need when you find the perfect spot to sit. I like to carry a book, notepad, pen, my iphone, and a snack in my bag. Also, a must is an umbrella because you never know when a Spring shower will pop up. When it does you will be ready to toss your things into your tote and open your umbrella to get out of the rain. Add a few accessories and maybe some nail polish to jazz the look up a little. What's your go-to Spring uniform?

Scallops for Spring

Floral Dress lovely print - Scalloped Jacket - Cut Out Dress - Lace Shorts - One Piece Swim Suit so cute - Leather Clutch - Cake Stand perfect for entertaining - Black Flats - Bikini

Scallops for Spring
Here we are in for another round of bad weather. We can receive up to 3 inches of sleet followed by up to 8 inches of snow and then couple all of that with record low temperatures for this time of year. So, I am definitely dreaming of some nice Spring weather, some nice Spring days to relax outside.

Above I have collected some great items for Spring with scallops. I am huge fan of scalloped edges on clothing. I just find them to add a feminine touch to any item. They also add an interesting cut to an item. I'm ready for better weather, cute dresses, and comfortable flats. Adding scalloped edges to dresses and shoes is just adorable! How do you feel about scallops?

Plaid Loafers - Velvet Loafers with Gold Crest beautiful details
Kate Spade Loafers love the other color too - Gold Glitter Loafers

Loafers Are For Everyone
Loafers are absolutely stunning shoes. Honestly, I don't think anyone can say they would never wear a pair. They come in such a wide range of colors, patterns, and styles that anyone can find a pair they would absolutely love. Above I have gathered some of my favorites from around the web to show that loafers really are for everyone. My favorite pair would have to be between these and these. It is just so hard to pick just one pair. What's your favorite? Do you currently own any loafers? If I buy a new pair of shoes any time soon, they will definitely be a pair of loafers. On my next shopping trip I will be scoping stores out for a beautiful pair. I have a hard time finding shoes online that fit me well, so I always by shoes in person. This Spring I want to be rocking a pair of these in the nice, sunshiney weather though. What about you?

What to Wear: Shirt Dress I love shirt dresses. I think they are so easy and comfortable, but that with the right accessories this is item can easily transition for work. Usually when I think of a shirt dress, I think of a denim or chambray version. I was delighted to find this yellow print shirt dress. The color and print are perfect for Spring. Cobalt pairs nicely with yellow, so I went all in with the cobalt accessories, nail polish, and flats. Cobalt and yellow are a cheery combination and perfect for Spring. What are your thoughts? What color would you have paired with the dress?

Wedges for Spring

spring shoe trend

Wedges for Spring Wedges are one of the most perfect shoes for Spring and Summer. I love the feeling of adding height but with more comfort than your typical heels. I am a horrible when it comes to walking in high heels, so I rarely wear them. Wedges are a great option for people like me. I love the wedges where the wedge is made in a different material or color than the rest of the shoe, but these solid mint wedges caught my item anyway. The color is perfect and I love them simple femininity that they possess. I am also loving these wedges because of their bold colors. I love both color options when it comes to them.

Enzo Angiolini Wedges $23.70 (love the bold colors) - Coral Wedges $39.99
Floral Lace Wedges $36.71 (so feminine!) - Mint Wedges $39.99

White Pants for Spring/Summer

White pants yellow blazer

white pants with stripes
white pants with pastels
white pants with chambray top

Friday Favorites A must have item for Spring and Summer is a pair of white pants. White clothes always look so crisp and classic. These pants being white are easily dressed up or down. I think white pants are so chic paired with other white clothes and accessories. They also look great paired with other neutrals but you can also make a bold statement by pairing them with bright, bold colors. Which way would you wear white pants? I think that for work I would either go all white or with other neutrals and then for a more casual look I would go with bright colors.

Spring Layers

spring fashion layers

beautiful spring fashion

pattern play spring fashion

yellow spring fashion

Spring Layers I always love a good layered looks. Layers are a great way to mix patterns and to have fun with different colors. In Spring the temperature fluctuates greatly from day to day and even during a single day. In the mornings and evenings when the sun is not shining it can get cold, but during the day when the sun is shining down us we can get warm if our clothes are too thick. Spring layers are thinner than layers we would wear in the Winter, but they still offer us the same ability to take away and add layers back when the temperature affects us.
In Spring I want my layers to thinner than in Winter. This makes it easier for me to wear layers and still stay cool even when it is warm outside. If it gets too warm, I can shed a layer. Spring layers are also better in fun prints and bright colors. What are your thoughts on Spring layers?

Pucker Up: Kiss Prints

lip print fashion collage

Pucker Up Kiss Prints I have seen several beautiful kiss print items online and love them. At first I wasn't really a fan, but I have definitely come around. I think they are feminine, sweet, and whimsical. I am a fan of multiple color combinations with this print. Black with red and white with pink would be the typical color combinations for this. I also like the unusual color combinations like a yellow top with black kiss prints. I think I would love a skirt with a kiss print on it. Would you wear this print?

Color Crush: Orange

Color Crush: Orange

With the official arrival of Spring almost here, I am wishing the weather would cooperate and be more Spring-like. If the weather won't change and let me enjoy Spring temperatures and sunshine, then my wardrobe is going to be Spring-like enough to make me forget the Winter blues. Orange is the perfect color for Spring. It is warm, bright, and cheery. I know I definitely feel more upbeat and ready to go when I am dressed in the color, which is why I need more of it in my wardrobe. How do you feel about the color orange? Tracy and I both are in love with these! Who doesn't love shoes and lions?
Below are some of my favorite orange finds online. Maybe you aren't comfortable wearing so much of a bright color like dresses would require? Then add a cream cardigan or a neutral blazer to break the color up some. I think any neutral color, yellow, and blue look great with orange. What colors would you pair with orange?

How to Wear a Floral Dress

How to wear a floral dress
This has been a very cold and snowy winter for us, but last week we finally had a break in all of the bad weather. We had sunny days with 70 degree temperatures. It was definitely Spring like weather, which made me think about my wardrobe and Spring fashion. One of my favorite Spring fashion trends is floral print dresses. Floral dresses are ultra feminine, flirty, and romantic. If you are not the ultra feminine type pair your dress with a denim jacket, bomber jacket, or even a moto jacket. Every girl needs at least one in her closet. Right?
Many people shy away from floral print dresses because they just are not sure how to wear style the colorful print. So today I want to share some tips for how to wear a floral print dress.

Tip 1: Choose one of the colors and use that color for your shoes and bag. Usually, floral prints are multiple colors. Any color no matter how much of it is actually in the print will work. I like to pick one of the colors that are used in a smaller amount and then help it stand out more by matching my shoes and bag to it.

Tip 2: If you just are not sure what color to style with the print, neutrals always work. Think white, black, gray, or creams and the look will still be chic and stylish. I love to pair florals with neutral stripes.

Tip 3: Watch the size of the print. If the item is totally floral print you need to pick the right print size for your body type. If you are petite a large print can overwhelm you and make you look like a little kid and on the other end of the spectrum if you are more full figured a tiny print can make you look bigger.

Tip 4: Floral prints are beautiful and bold so keep the accessories simple. Delicate gold or silver jewelry can keep it simple. Do not go over and pair your floral print dress with floral accessories.

Use these tips and get out there and rock out a floral dress look this Spring. Are you in need of a floral dress? Right now I am really in love with Peter Hahn's floral print dresses. Check out my favorites from the collection below:

3 Current Favorite Dresses

Current Favorite Dresses
During winter and with the drop in temperatures my dresses often get pushed to the back of my closet. We had a touch of spring like weather last week (although they have drastically dropped again) which has me anxious to pull my dresses back and even pick up a few new ones. Three of my current favorite dresses including this dress with a beautiful print are below, but this pink dress is a close fourth. Are you anxious to start wearing dresses this spring too?

What to Wear: Spring Pastels

spring pastel fashion
What to Wear: Spring Pastels
This week the #whattowear post is about the Spring fashion trend of wearing pastels. Pastels are beautiful colors. I love the lighter shades of purple, pink, green, yellow, and orange that are associated with pastel colors. These colors are subtle and soft, but if you pair pastels together you can definitely make a bold statement. I love the color combination of pastel green and pink. What are your favorite pastel colors? You always know that Spring is near when you see stores displaying lots of pastel items.
Pastels are feminine and dreamy. The look below would be perfect for meeting friends for lunch or for wearing to work. When it comes to pastels, I like to add in lighter neutrals like beige and white. I also love navy with a pastel pink or yellow. I would love to own a mint green blazer like the pink one below or if money wasn't an issue I would love a pastel pink moto jacket. That jacket is something I will dream about.

Sunny Delights: Sunglasses

I hope everyone has had a fantastic week. We can all rejoice that it is Friday! Being a teacher, I am finally at the point in the school year when I am counting down the days until the last day. We have finished end of the year testing and everyone is ready for a break. Only one week to go. Then I will be on my way to the beach for nine days. One must have item for any beach-goer and any girl during the Spring and Summer are sunglasses. That is why this week I am bringing you a #stylishforless post on sunglasses.
If you are like me you like to keep a variety of sunglasses. I like to have sunglasses of different shapes, sizes, and colors. With a variety it is easy to choose a pair that goes with any outfit. I can always find a pair that fits my look or mood. In this #stylishforless post all of the sunglasses are $12 or under.
Cat Eye Sunglasses - Tribal Print Sunglasses - Leopard Print Sunglasses - Zebra Print Sunglasses - Half Frame Sunglasses - Aloha Aviators - Circular Street-Style Sunglasses - Colorful Tribal Sunglasses - Square Frames Sunglasses - Tortoise Shell Sunglasses - Slim Tortoise Shell Sunglasses - Chevron Print Sunglasses

Are you in need of any new sunglasses this season? Even if you don't need them at these prices you can buy them just because you love them. If I were going to splurge on sunglasses I would love to have these. I have been looking for a new pair to take on my upcoming trip. What do you suggest?

Spring Fashion: Sequin Shorts

Sequin shorts are one article of clothing that I am falling in love with. I don't own a pair of them myself, but I absolutely love the way they look. I mean, what girl doesn't love a little sequin? Sequin shorts are the perfect short for Spring. They add a little sparkle, a little shine to a look and they are beautiful. These would be so easy to style in a variety of ways. You could be feeling rocker chic and pair them with some boots, a tee, and a leather jacket. Maybe you want to pair them with a beautiful blazer, heels, and some jewelry instead? For me the hardest part is deciding what color of sequin shorts to buy. What color would you want?
