Let's face it, we all want to look good. When you are beautifully dressed, you just feel better about yourself. Being in an outfit that you love just gives you a little confidence booster that helps you all day long. Don't you have that favorite look in your closet that you wear when you know you are going to need a little boost that day? Why not make all your looks favorites? Well, for one thing clothes are expensive and not all of us have the adequate funds to just go out and buy everything we love. That's when you have to get creative. Check out all of your favorite shops and even try some new places. Look online for the best deals. Check out secondhand stores for great buys.

I think all of the above pieces could be incorporated into looks that would definitely boost my mood. The best thing about all of them is that they are all under $50, with the majority of them being under $35. My absolute favorite item in the collage above is this dress. At under $40 it is an absolute steal, don't you agree? With some great black heels, a black bag, and some simple gold studs it would make a perfect look for work. Maybe even add a black blazer. My second favorite piece above is this. It wouldn't really be for work, but I could definitely see myself wearing it all the time outside of work. Running errands, going to a concert, hanging out with friends- all of these would be perfect opportunities.

It is hard to believe it is already Monday. Weekends always seem to fly by. This week is going to be a busy one. I have a lot of appointments and meetings schedules out of the office and I am heading to a training on Wednesday.

One item that I will be getting a lot of use out of this week is a black blazer. I consider black blazers to be one of workhorses in my closet. It is versatile, classic, and because it is black it goes with basically everything I own. A high-end black blazer is one of the components of the perfect suit which I said last week is one of the 5 Investment Pieces every woman should have work. Over the years I have also picked up several inexpensive black blazers that I toss over everything including trousers, dresses, jeans, and skirts.

I have learned the hard way to I always keep a black blazer in my office. This lesson was learned one hectic day when I was scheduled to looking at dusty books out of the office all day doing research but was called and given almost no notice of an important meeting I had to attend in the office that day. I have almost a 90 minute commute to work each day so I had no time to go home and get dressed. Instead I ran like a mad woman around town to purchase something to wear to this meeting. Since that day along with a few other items a black blazer is something I always keep stashed away in my closet at work for an emergency or when something unexpected pops up.

Work has recently started back for me. My summer vacation ended last week from school. Teachers started work last Monday and the students started coming back on Thursday. With the start of work, I realize how much my work wardrobe is lacking. In the spring semester at school I quit buying anything for work, because at Christmas I have gotten some new things. Usually a few weeks before summer vacation ends I will go on a shopping splurge and buy some new things for work. This year I didn't get to do that because I was busy with a week long math training and then two weeks of going to college classes. So it has been a long time since I have made any new work related purchases- well work wardrobe related. I did buy a few new things for my classroom from Amazon.

I love all of the above items for a work wardrobe. They are all under $50 each. They are beautiful, feminine, and would cover you enough to be appropriate for work. These hoops are a steal at only $12 and could be worn with any outfit. I am absolutely in love with dress- the floral print is wonderful. While I find both of the heels above stunning, I know I couldn't wear them all day without my feet killing me. I have to be up on my feet too much to wear shoes like those all day. I could see myself wearing them and changing into flats half-way through the day though. What do you think about my picks?

As several of my finds under $50 above suggest I am itching to do some shopping for fall. I have always loved fall fashion best. I noticed a couple weeks ago that fall clothing was already starting to appear in many stores so I do not think it will be long before I get some serious use out of my credit cards.

Until a couple years ago Dorothy Perkins had never been on my radar. I love the new arrivals at Dorothy Perkins like this shirt dress. I think the fabrics and colors would be perfect for fall and plus everything is #stylishforless. In other news: I am still crazy for leopard prints and since basically destroying my favorite leopard print shoes maybe I need to replace them with these.

Now that the temperatures finally warming up I am excited for cute sandals and pretty pedicures. I was evaluating my shoe collection the other day and I was surprised by the lack of sandals. One of my favorite shoes to were in the Spring is flats. Flats are just so quick and easy to wear. You can slip them on in seconds on the way out the door. They are my go to shoes when I want to wear stylish shoes and have to be on my feet all day. I think heels are beautiful, but honestly after a couple of hours my feet are killing me. So going out shopping with friends? Flats are the perfect shoe to wear. Don't you think? I just love these scalloped edge flats, they are so adorable and feminine. They would pair well with a cute dress or with jeans. For something a little edgier and a little more glam I would opt for these leopard flats. I love the print and the cut-outs. Was watching your spending one of your goals in the new year? I have honestly been doing better than I expected and have managed to start putting back some money for upcoming trips. I haven't been totally depriving myself and have instead focused on picking up items that are reasonably priced and that I can see myself wearing over and over again like this trench coat (love the navy contrast) and these t-strap flats that are only $25. I love this grey coat with the contrasting white stripes. It would have definitely came in handy during this snow storm.

I love floral prints and wear them year round. I think they make beautiful prints. Paired with the right items they can work for any situation depending on the print and the colors used to make it. This blazer could be for a casual look with some jeans and tee or it could be for work with a solid blue dress. Right? My favorite item from above would have to be these floral trousers. I love the mix of bright colors in the print and they just seem so fun. I would definitely use these in a casual look for hanging out with friends.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. As a hopeless romantic it is a little odd but I think Valentine's Day is kind of cheesy. While it may not be one of my favorite holidays I do love dressing in the appropriate colors of pink and red for the day. Each item included above is under $50 and very beautiful. I love this romantic rose print skirt, feminine chiffon top and bow adorned heels. I have mentioned on here before that one of the best purchases I have ever made is a pink coat. It always receives compliments and just makes me happy to wear. This pink coat is a great bargain at only $39.

Earlier this week I shared about the serious lack of prints in my closet. Taking another look, I realize that there is even less than I originally thought. I find this weird because the print items that I do own (polka dots, stripes, and a few florals) are my favorite items and the ones that I wear the most. Prints are just more interesting that solids and automatically add a little something extra to a look. All of these Aztec prints are under $50. I am loving the weekender bag. It's beautiful and would see a lot of use. I also really love the combat boots. If I saw these at a store where I could try them on, I would definitely want to buy them. What are your thoughts?

We haven't had many cold days here yet. In fact throughout December we have had many days in the 60s, which is very unusual. In January and February I expect things to change and start to be very cold. Have you already been having cold weather? In looking ahead to the cold I have been looking online at new coats. There are just so many options. I have finally decided on black for the color. I feel that black is a a great choice because it is a neutral and I think black tends to look very professional.
