Bedtime Story

As a little child I can remember my Mom and Dad reading me and my sisters a bedtime story every night. If they weren't reading us a story they were making up one and telling it to us. Those were times when our whole family would gather on my Mom and Dad's bed and get our bedtime story. I think those times have caused us to be a closer family and they have certainly increased my love for books and reading. I just can't get enough! I recently purchased 24 books in a series on ebay for $46 and the seller was amazing. They were ALL hardback and in like new condition. Plus she found 2 more books by the author that she didn't know she had so she threw those in for FREE!

We would read anything from Disney books to the Little Golden books.

We also had some bigger books with multiple stories that Mom would read part of to us sometimes.

I think reading is a great way to help your children or even yourself learn about various things. A lot of childrens books teach children moral lessons that can help them be a better person.

When we were little, my sisters and I had one most favorite book. It was the Tawny Scrawny Lion. We loved this book so much and requested that it be read to us so much that our family actually went through several copies of it. I still pull it out sometimes to read it. If you have never read it you should find a copy and give it a try.

What's your favorite children's book?

  2. Sophia!
    You of the whirling wings,
    circling, encompassing energy of God:
you quicken the world in your clasp.
    One wing soars in heaven,
    one wing sweeps the earth,
and the third flies all around us.
    Praise to Sophia!
Let all the earth praise her!

    Thanks.

  3. That's amazing that they are still people like you, who like reading books! Nowadays, computers are around the world and the passion for spending time in bed, with a lamp lighting next to you, with a cup of hot tea, reading a book fades away.
