On the Menu: Philly Cheesesteak Hoagie

On the Menu: Philly Cheesesteak Hoagie During the work week I want dinner recipes that I can whip up quickly and that require little prep work. I also want something delicious and filling. These Philly Cheesesteak Hoagies fit the bill. They are so yummy! Add some chips and A1 sauce and you are ready to enjoy a fantastic dish. The seasoning for the steak brings an Italian kick to the hoagie.

Ingredients
1.5 pounds Beef Round Steak
1 Envelope Italian Dressing Mix
1 Green Pepper
1 Red Pepper
1 Medium Onion
6 pack Hoagie Buns
12 slices Provolone Cheese

Directions
1. Cut the steak into thin strips (1/4-1/2 inch works best) and season with the Italian Dressing Mix. In a pan with vegetable oil fry the steak. When done remove and drain the excess oil. I just place onto a plate lined with paper towels and dab with paper towels to remove the oil.
2. Slice the peppers and onion. In a pan saute them until soft. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil. Mix with the steak.
3. Preheat oven to 350. In a baking sheet lined with alumni foil place the bottoms of the hoagie buns. Spoon steak, peppers, and onions onto them. Place two slices of Provolone on top of that covering the steak. Prop the top of the hoagie bun slightly on top and slightly to the side of this.
4. Bake 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven. Add A1 if you want and slide the top of the hoagie bun fully on top the sandwich and enjoy. Best when eaten immediately so that they are still warm.
