Can you believe it is already November? It is incredible how fast days are just flying by. Looking at my calendar yesterday I realized how soon Christmas would be here and that I do not have a single free weekend until after the holidays.

We promptly took down our Halloween decorations yesterday. I was a little sad to see them packed away. I had really started looking forward to seeing the purple and orange lights every night and my fireplace is looking a little plain today without the crows on the mantle and the faux bones scattered inside it. After putting my Halloween decorations away I realized that the only fall (not strictly Halloween) decorations I have are a few pumpkins and a leaf garland. I have noticed in the last few weeks that some people have already started decorating for Christmas. I love my Christmas decorations but I hate the thought of skipping over an entire season and an entire holiday.

I spent some time last night looking for a few fall home updates to help my home feel a little festive until it is time to bring out the Christmas decor. This wreath would be perfect for greeting guests when they arrive and I could not love this adorable fox door knocker more. Do you decorate for fall and Thanksgiving?

Chic Halloween Decorations
Welcome Pumpkin / Wildebeest Skull / Bountiful Wreath / Beware Marquee Sign / Cobra Figurines / Crow In Cage / Halloween Bottles / Bronze Leaf Lights / Feather Wreath (love this!) / Lantern / Skull Totem / Bat Mobile (so perfect) / Spooky Party Tapers / Wire Hanging Crow / Alligator Skull / Gold Skull / Pumpkins

It is kind of funny but I love Halloween so much more as an adult as I ever did as a child. As a child I never found it fun dressing up in costumes and going to strangers houses asking for candy. It is hard to explain my total turn around but now I love Halloween. I get almost giddy as it approaches. This year Jessica and I are having our second annual Halloween party. I just dropped the invitations in the mail today.

Now it is time to start decorating. I add a few new decorations to my Halloween collection every year. Above are a few things I am currently eyeing. This bat mobile and wreath are at the top of my list.

Are you excited for Halloween too? Do you have your costume yet? I plan to be Red Riding Hood.

Decorating for Fall

Now that Fall is officially here, it is time to start putting out those Fall decorations. When I think of Fall decorations, the first thing that comes to my mind is pumpkins. While I love pumpkins of all sizes, especially the white ones, they are not the only item you can use to decorate for Fall. There are just so many options for decorating around the home for Fall. Think of reds, oranges, and yellows when it comes to colors. I think of wreaths of corn or cranberries. For Fall I also think about decorating with acorns, pine cones, and leafs. Are you doing any decorating for Fall?
