A Surprising Item You Should Pack When Traveling
I recently shared how wonderful little red dresses are and today I am going to sing the praises of red once again. When packing for a trip I typically stick to items that can be easily mixed and matched and usually focus on a neutral color palette with one exception: one red item. Whether it is a dress, skirt, or a top a red item adds a little unexpected flare to your wardrobe while traveling. It gives you a fun, slightly sassy pop of color to wear while out of town. Another huge plus is that it really stands out and looks incredible in photographs and who doesn't want to get at least a few vacation photos were they look amazing. Here are a few pretty red items:
Electric Red Shirttail Sweater
Red Pleated Skirt
Cropped Blazer
Midi Skirt
Lattice Trim Shift Dress
Crepe Dress

P.S. Need more convincing check out this Instagram account to see some beautiful places Andrea Dabene has been photographed in her red skirt.

60's Shift Dress / Sheath Dress / Halter Swing Dress

A few weeks ago I shared 3 little white dresses for summer and I have previously posted some of my favorite little pink dresses. When I stumbled across this picture on Pinterest over the weekend I was reminded of how sassy and chic a little red dress can be. Then I realized that I had included a little red number in my last Friday Favorites post so I went in search of some other dresses in red. Some more favorites can be found at the following links:

Prepping For Valentine's Day

While I wouldn't necessarily call myself a girl who loves Valentine's Day I do greatly appreciate any occasion that calls for celebration. Also honestly I cannot deny my huge love of anything pink, red, or covered in hearts. While Valentine's Day is still a few weeks away it is not to early to begin planning what to wear to fill a little extra special that day. I love this sweater, these shoes, and this bracelet. Some more of my favorites are below.

Red, White, and Blue Fashion

Do you have plans for the 4th of July? Maybe you have a backyard barbecue, a family dinner, an Independence Day celebration, or plans to attend a fireworks show for this Independence Day? My family and I will be celebrating earlier that day for my birthday and then we will watch fireworks that night. For a 4th of July celebration you will definitely need a patriotic look to wear. I'm not saying you have to be wearing a flag print, or red, white, and blue from head to toe. An easy way to show your patriotism is to just choose on the color red, white, or blue and incorporate it into your look that day. Even a few accessories or nail polish in the given colors would work. Here are a few of my suggestions:
Red White or Blue

Dragonfly Print Dress - Eyelet Lace Dress - Polka Dotted Floral Dress - Blue Lace Back Top - Floral Mary Janes - Pinafore Dress - Twist Front Swimsuit

Red Hot

I am a huge advocate of the Little Black Dress but there's no denying that a Little Red Dress has an equal amount of appeal and almost as much diversity, plus it has just a little pizzazz to it. After slipping on a LRD it would be impossible to not feel an extra little boost in confidence. Red is sexy, sassy, and bold while maintaining a classic, timeless feel.

Pairing Pink and Red

I fell in love with a bold pink and bright red coloring pairing when I spotted Emma Stone in this outfit months ago. The colors are juicy, fresh, and bold.

I certainly am not the only person impressed with Emma's style and the outfit she wore to the "Friends With Benefits" premiere. Here are a few other looks pairing pink and red that I am head of heels for.
