What To Wear: Sequin Skirt

Carrying over from yesterday's post (which you can see here) I couldn't resist styling a sequin skirt for #whattowear. I love the idea of pairing something casual with fancy sequin in order to make it more everyday appropriate. To tone down this beautiful sequin skirt I paired it with a classic stripped tee (bonus it is only $9!). Looking at the above photo for inspiration I think this combination would look perfect with a messy updo. Spring Fashion: Sequin Shorts

Sequin shorts are one article of clothing that I am falling in love with. I don't own a pair of them myself, but I absolutely love the way they look. I mean, what girl doesn't love a little sequin? Sequin shorts are the perfect short for Spring. They add a little sparkle, a little shine to a look and they are beautiful. These would be so easy to style in a variety of ways. You could be feeling rocker chic and pair them with some boots, a tee, and a leather jacket. Maybe you want to pair them with a beautiful blazer, heels, and some jewelry instead? For me the hardest part is deciding what color of sequin shorts to buy. What color would you want?

Sequin home decor? Yes, please. It is a well known fact that I fond of sparkly things. Sequin covered walls, shimmery curtains, shiny pillows, and glittery tablecloths and chairs. Be still my heart. It is a firm belief of mine that everyone should have add a little sparkle to their life but if wearing sequins does not fit your personality consider adding a few sparkly throw pillows to your sofa.

A few days ago I shared here how the numerous sightings of sequins in Fall collections was making me giddy. My slight sequin obsession continues. One item at the top of my list is sequined shorts. They can easily be dressed up with a fitted blazer and heels. But I think even more impressive is adding a little sparkle to your most casual days by dressing them down with a tee and flats. I can't wait to see these paired with tights when the weather gets cooler.

Seeing sequins popping up in numerous Fall collections this year has made me almost giddy. I cannot pretend to understand a girl who doesn't like a little sparkle (or a lot in my case). Every girl needs a couple sparkly pieces in her closet. Sequin is very glamourous but can also work for day. For example try layering a fitted leather jacket or chunky knits over chic sequin cocktail dress or a sequin top with a blazer and jeans. Below is a few items I am currently loving.
