With Valentine's Day just around the corner, some of you have probably been thinking about what to get your significant other. I have spent some time thinking about it and I believe that I have come up with some fantastic Valentine's Day gift ideas for her and for him.
For Her:

1. Personalized Books
While looking online for a romantic, unique gift idea for her I came across the idea of Personalized Books. Some website will take famous stories, that almost everyone has heard of and they will personalize them for you. The main characters in the books will be changed to whatever names you want. For Valentine's Day you could choose a famous love story and have the names changed to yours and your sweetie. The first website here only has a couple of options, with the only romantic one being Romeo and Julliet. The second has more options, and you get to personalize to a greater detail, going as far as what hair and eye color you want the character to have as well as the name.

Book By You
2. Perfume
I love Perfume, and most girls probably do. While I am a fan of Marc Jacobs and Vera Wang fragrances, you should pick whatever scent your girl likes the best.
3. Jewelry
Jewelry is a go to option on Valentine's Day and I checked out a few stores and fell in love with this ring. It is more whimsical than most heart rings, making it cute and unique.
Zales Multi-Heart Ring
4. Purse
Buying your sweetheart a nice bag is a great way to go for Valentine's Day. Just make sure you choose a brand and color that she will like.
5. Bubble Bath Set
Maybe you are looking for a gift that will help your sweetheart to relax and unwind after a hard day or week at work. A nice Bubble Bath Set is the perfect way to achieve this.

For Him:

1. Cologne
A girl likes for her guy to smell great, so a great smelling cologne is a perfect choice for a Valentine's Day gift for him.
2. Kinect
Maybe your guy loves his video games. The Kinect for the xbox 360 is relatively new and may be something that your guy would love.
3. Watch
Every guy needs a nice watch to wear. While looking at some options I found this watch from Zales that I really love.

4. Concert/Sports Tickets
Most people to love to go to concerts or to sportings events. If your guy has a favorite band or sports team coming to town soon, tickets are a great way to go for his Valentine's Day gift.
5. Travel/Laptop Bag
Every guy could use a great travel bag or a laptop case. While looking through some options I came across this beautiful travel bag for guys.

No matter what you get your Valentine this year, they are sure to love it as long as you put some thought into or make the day special.

Before Christmas we were the winners of Camille's, from Never Naked, bow headband giveaway. We won the headbands pictured above. Aren't they adorable? Since there were two of them and two of us it was perfect! These headbands were handmade by Sophie-Lou-J from Sophie-Lou-J-Says. She sells these and many other cute items on her blog. It is super easy to purchase one from her, just visit her blog and look at her items. Then all you have to do is e-mail her at Sophielouise_619@hotmail.com, with your order and pay with paypal. You should definitely check out her blog, she is very talented!
Here I have shown two looks similiar to ones that we will wear our headbands with. The first look is a cute, casual blue dress with gray flats, bag, and knee high socks. We would wear the gray headband to complete this look.
The second look is a more casual look with jeans. We would wear the pink headband with this look. We think these headbands are super adorable, and we have already worn them several times. All of our friends love them too!
What do you think about the looks that we have paired these headbands with? Any suggestions?

I have been seeing Valentine's Day candy in stores for a few weeks now and that has gotten me to thinking about hearts. Hearts decorate so many things, not just Valentine's Day items. They are also cute for any time of year. I love clothes, shoes, and accessories with heart details whether it is small or large.
Look One
I love this cardigan with the heart shaped pockets. I would pair it with a simple dress and flats. Here it gets a beautiful black dress and to bring out the red around the cardigan pockets I paired it with red flats, bag, and nail polish. With red and black I like to use gold accessories.

I was recently asked for my opinion on how someone should dress for a black tie event. Black tie designates the event as a formal occasion in which the men will be dressed in tuxedos. Women should wear floor length evening gowns or evening separates. Shorter dresses are usually considered semi-formal however, cocktail dresses can be worn for daytime events or cocktail receptions. I've pulled together a few black tie ready looks that I love. This lovely gown is a beautiful purple tone with short detailed sleeves, a sash to tie around the waist, and a deep V neck. I've paired this dress with a lot of sparkle including crystal studded heels, a jewel encrusted clutch, and long earrings.

Heels $1,850 - saksfifthavenue.com
Clutch $1,912 - forzieri.com
Ring - tacori.com
Earrings $538 - charmandchain.com
Nail Polish $4.99 - amazon.com The raspberry color of this gown is one of my favorite colors and I love the rose covered detailing along the top of this dress. This gown has an empire waist that I think can be flattering on many women. Because the waist on this dress is right below the bust it will help disguise the stomach and all of the detailing will help emphasize the bust. The petal ruffled detailing of the clutch helps tie it in with the design of the gown.

Lipstick $13 - amazon.co.uk This gown immediately makes me think Grecian Goddess and as a bonus it is currently on sale for nearly a third of its original price. This gown features a lovely coral color and embellished straps and has a relaxed and flowing fit that is sure to be a comfortable fit so you can enjoy your evening. No necklace is needed with this gown because of the detailed straps. I chose to stick with mainly gold accessories to complete the look.

I think flowers and rosettes are a simple way to make a clothing item so delicate and feminine looking. Peonies are such a beautiful flower and I love finding items that I have peony looking flowers on them. The Peony gets its name from a Greek myth about Paeon, a student of the Greek god of medicine and healing. This god became so jealous of Paeon that he was going to kill him, but Zeus saved Paeon by turning him into a flower called the Peony.
Look One
This dress is so beautiful and delicate looking with the peonies going around the waist. I wanted to bring out the pink peonies with the pink clutch and the pink nail polish and the goldish sheer layer of the dress with gold accessories.

I have mentioned before that I love the color combination of gray and blue and this outfit reminds me why. I love the peonies going down the side of the cardigan and the slight ruffles on the dress. This casual outfit would be great for going out with friends to lunch or for shopping. Plus I love this elephant necklace!

Every piece in this look is $50 or under. I began this look with these stunning black and gold flats. I love the colors and the peonies across the toe. Then I paired them with black jeans and a cream colored ruffly top. I added the black jacket for a little edginess and for a pop of color the red bag and the red nail polish.

Pleats are a great way to add more detail and interest to an outfit. Pleats can be found on any thing from a great skirt to a beautiful blouse.
Black pleated skirts are feminine and very versatile. In my opinion a black pleated skirt is an essential for any closet because it can be worn year round on virtually any occasion and can easily be dressed either up or down.
