4 Perfect Ponytails

When hot weather starts coming around we all are constantly pulling our hair back to get it up and away from our faces. As a child and until I was in high school I always had long, thick hair that fell all the way down my back. It's still thick but much shorter now. Then my go to method for pulling my hair up was a classic ponytail. This was easy and quick. But honestly, that typical, classic ponytail is not very stylish. So why not update that look with one of these for options above?

Side Topsy Ponytail- This style is as easy and simple as the most basic ponytail, but looks so much better. It has become my go-to ponytail.

Ponytail with a Braid- Why not up the classic ponytail with a big braid in it or several smaller ones?

Messy Braided Ponytail- This is a messy chic look. I love it, what about you?

High Messy Ponytail- I love how this ponytail incorporates part of your hair to wrap around and hide the actual ponytail holder. Don't you?

Favorite Summer Hairstyles

I have dark, thick hair that I find very troublesome during the Summer months. I am always pulling my hair back to get it out of my face during really hot weather. My favorite Summer hairstyles involve getting my hair pulled up off my neck and shoulders and out of my face. I am also a huge fan of hairstyles that include braids. Going Out with a Bang: Hairstyles with Bangs

For the past month or so I have really been contemplating a new hairstyle. Summer is here and is the perfect time for a new style. I have really thick, long hair and it can get very hot during the Summer months. I have been looking through magazines and at photos online to determine what I want to do. It is just so hard to make a decision! One thing I have been thinking about is whether or not I would like to get bangs.
Bangs, like in the photos above, can look amazing. They really make you look different. The downside to getting bangs is that if I decide I do not want them, it will take forever to grow them back out. What are your thoughts? Would you go for the bangs or stay without them?

Hairstyles with Bows

Ever since I read this article on Vogue last week, I haven't been able to get bows and ribbons off my mind. The article included such beautiful photos that I loved. The hairstyles were simple, feminine, and beautiful. They can be easy and simple to use, yet they can make such a statement. You could have your ribbon tied in a bow like a head band or tie your ponytail with a ribbon. Ribbons go great with dresses, but I also love them with jeans and a tee. Your look doesn't have to be feminine to wear a ribbon in your hair. Mix it up. Wear a moto jacket and jeans with a ribbon in your hair. You can have a mix of tough and soft. What are your thoughts?

After a hectic weekend, I spent last night relaxing and pulling together a few images that inspire me regarding fashion and beauty. My favorites always tend to lean more toward soft, romantic, and feminine than any other style and currently I am inspired by these looks even more so than usual. I dreaming of a closet full of intricate bead/rhinestone work, soft colors, sheer fabrics, delicate lace, and shoes with ribbon and bow accents. To fully embrace the final weeks of Spring and the beginning of Summer these looks are perfect paired with fresh, dewy makeup and simple, no fuss hairstyles (major bonus points for floral hair accessories).
