What To Wear: To The Farmers Market

What To Wear: To The Farmers' Market
Taner Bar Earrings (love these) / Key Fob / Striped Boatneck Tee / Sunglasses / Gold Band Set / Wallet / Bermuda Shorts / Thin Cuff Set / Transport Tote (gets so much use) / Leopard Flats (on sale!)

Maybe it is because I grew up on a farm but there are few things better than spending a day leisurely browsing a farmers' market. I love treating myself to coffee and a pastry while strolling around a local farmers' market and then coming home with lots of fresh produce and pretty flowers for the upcoming week. Last week I got so excited about fall when I spotted an abundance of pumpkins, squash, and gourds had become available.

It makes me feel really great to support local farmers by purchasing fresh, local, in-season produce but I also find going to a farmers' market to be a really fun, relaxing experience. Instead of rushing around a crowd, sometimes stressful grocery store to get out as soon as possible I take my time and savor farmers' market experiences.

Trips to the farmers' market are meant to be casual but to look put-together I like to wear simple like a striped tee and denim Bermuda shorts with simple jewelry. It is also important to take a large tote ( this one is my favorite) to carry purchases around in. Do you love spending early Saturday mornings taking a stroll around the farmers' market too?

What To Wear: Summer Casual

Leopard iPhone Case / Key Fob (on sale!) / Denim Romper (on sale!) / Aviator Sunglasses / Fedora / Clare V. Pin / Clover Stud Earrings (adorable) / Bracelet / Kate Spade New York Watch (love this) / The Nightingale / Bucket Bag / Sliders

Summer is easily when my style is at its most casual. I tend to stick to simple, easy pieces that I can slip on quickly and that will keep me cool like this romper and these sliders. You will also never find me outside of my house in the summer without a pair (or two) of sunglasses. Do you ease into a more casual, relaxed style during the summer months too?

Casual Maxi Skirts

Casual Maxi Skirts
As a teacher, I love having some free time in the Summer. I say some because I spend a lot of my summertime busy with school related stuff. I take classes to further my education and to earn my next degree. I'm busy with trainings that school scheduled before break began and busy planning and preparing for the next school year. What I love the most about Summer though, is that I don't have to dress up.

To me Summer is about casual, laid-back looks that express comfort and fun. Looks that show you are up for anything and are ready for a day of adventure. I have found myself loving maxi skirts with a casual top for Summer. All of the skirts above are from Shabby Apple. I love how each skirt could easily be dressed up but that all of these have gone for a more casual approach with a tee or other casual shirt. What are your thoughts?

What To Wear: To Art Class

What to Wear: To Art Class
Cardigan / Floral T Shirt (beautiful colors) / Crystal Studs / Givenchy Lipstick in Rose Dahlia / Pendant Necklace / Coin Purse / Adventure iPhone Case (adorable!) / Boyfriend Jeans / Satchel / Woven Sneakers

Jessica and I have recently started attending an art class. It has been a great experience, especially for someone who began avoiding all art classes after a bad experience in elementary school. One thing I have learned is not to wear anything expensive to art class and I also avoid wearing anything with long sleeves (if I didn't I would likely get them in the paint). Since it is still cold outside I like to wear a cardigan that I can remove before class starts over a t-shirt. This colorful t-shirt is only $7. This iPhone case is one of my favorite recent finds. It doesn't fit my phone but if it did I would be snatching it up.

What To Wear: To Game Night

what to wear hosting a game night
What to Wear: To Game Night
Color Block Sweater / Ticket To Ride (one of my favorite games!) / 7 Wonders / Julep Nail Polish - Marjorie / Earrings (great for everyday wear) / Boyfriend Jeans (amazing fit) / Ring Set / Loafers / Tote

Lately I have loved hosting game nights. Jessica and I have a cousin who collects board games and in the last few months we have learned about dozens of board games we never knew existed. Game nights are great for spending quality time with friends and I honestly rather spend time with my friends in one of our homes over a loud restaurant. We order pizza, set out a few snacks, and then spend a few hours laughing, talking, and eating while playing games.

During these evenings I always opt for something casual like great fitting boyfriend jeans and a comfy sweater. If a game night was being hosted at a friends house I would add a large tote to carry a few games in.

If The Shoe Fits: Keds

If The Shoe Fits: Keds
I haven't owned a pair of Keds since I was a kid, but recently in my search for a pair or two of casual shoes I have fallen for the cheerful colors and fun prints Keds is offering. A pair of Keds like these (my current favorites) would be great item to incorporate into any spring wardrobe. Plus, with winter finally ending I need a pair of comfy shoes for all of the time I plan to spend outside enjoying the sunshine. I also think these would make a stylish shoe to prevent blisters while vacationing. Check out more of my favorites including these (I have a soft spot for nautical prints) below.

Falling for Fall Fashion

Source: None via Sunny on Pinterest

As much as I love getting dressed up and as firmly as I believe in ruffles, lace, and sequin for day to day life when spending time at home or doing errands it is essential to have some chic casual outfits. Fall is my favorite season for fashion because there is no better time for textures and colors. For Fall I love layers, stripes, dark denim jeans, scarves, boots, and fitted jackets. Bundle up and enjoy Fall.
