Staying Positive

Sometimes we all need a little reminder to be positive. When things get stressful or hectic it is very easy to fall into a negative mindset. But being negative does not help you get anything accomplished. In fact, I believe it makes it harder for you to get things done and to get them done correctly. It's not just that we need to be in a positive mindset for ourselves, but we need to be positive to others as well. Being upbeat and kind to others is a great way to get yourself back into a happy mood. What do you do when you find yourself thinking negative thoughts? How do you get out of that funk?

Happy Weekend

Happy birthday, Jessica! This weekend is looking like a busy weekend full of barbecues, fireworks, feeling patriotic, family activities, and celebrating Jessica's birthday. A surprise party was thrown in Jessica's honor but we are set to have a family dinner to celebrate this weekend. We hope each of you have a great weekend full of fun activities like us.

Oh Happy Day

It's been a busy week and my allergies are bothering me today so it's not been the greatest week. I decided to take some time to think about a few of the things in life that make me happy. I have decided that big pink Peonies are my second favorite flower after after Sweet Williams. They are great for decorating because it takes less flowers than it would flowers with smaller blossoms. I was seriously tempted to buy some fairy wings this last week while shopping in a Halloween store. I would likely wear them at random times. ☺ Getting dressed up or seeing someone all dressed up preferably for no apparent reason and it doesn't hurt if it is in a puffy pink gown. Days spent relaxing at home when you can spend your entire day in your pajamas if you want. Text messaging. I love the convenience of sending a text to someone to fill them in on something going on. And isn't it always nice when you get a text from a friend who just wanted to say hi? Cute monsters. Such as the Ugly Monster dolls or the creatures on Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. I got the most adorable cute monster change purse earlier this week. Driving alone in my car. I have determined that my evening drives home from work are my favorite time of the day. I love the alone time. The time to think without being interrupted. I love that I can blast my music as loud as I want and sing as loud as I want without someone complaining about my choice in music. Coconut cake or even better coconut pie. I love coconut. And lately all things coconut are my favorite food. Yum! I am so happy that Blair went after Chuck and convinced him to return to the Upper East Side. I want Blair and Chuck to live happily ever after. They are absolutely perfect for each other and while they may not be together right now with both back in New York it is only matter of time before they will no longer be able to deny they were made for each other. I have the most adorable cat in the world. I love how sweet he is and how cute he looks when he sleeps.

Happy-Go-Lucky

Today I decided to post about things that have made me happy this week. This week has gone really well for me and a lot of things have made me smile and I want to share those things with you too. Hopefully you will smile too!
Sweet Treats like cupcakes.

The night sky is so goregous. I love to relax and look up at the stars after a long, hard day.

Balloons can lift anyone spirits. This summer water balloons have been a blast.

Shopping is always so much fun, especially when I find great deals.

Earlier in the week I was thrilled to read about Hello Kitty on the blog A Mermaid's Fashion Notebook! I love Hello Kitty and her friends, especially Chococat and Badzt Maru.

I love to crank up the tunes in the car on the way home in the evenings! Singing along to the songs is just an amazing way to destress after work.

I love my cellphone. It is so easy to get in touch with friends and make plans for the weekend.

Payday was this week!! YAY!

On Cloud Nine

Below is a few of the things that make me happy this week. Sparklers. Everyone's loved these since they were little childern. I still love swirling them around in the darkness. Have you ever made anything near this fabulous with sparklers? I ♥ my iPod. It is almost always with me. Downloading new music is always something that I look forward to. It's amazing how downloading a few new songs can instantly perk up my day. The last few nights I've sent a little while each evening watching the fireflies outside. They are like twinkling Christmas lights. I normally just drink water. But occasionally I love some pink lemonade. I cannot stand being too hot so in the summer fans and air conditioning are a necessity for me. I'm always experimenting with different nail polish colors. It is an inexpensive way to change your look. Silly dancing is a great way to have fun and burn off extra energy. Plus it is an added reason to crank up the music on the iPod. Silly dancing is great. Especially when it is giraffes doing it.

A little bird told me

One of my favorite things about spring along with the abundance of flowers, the warmer temperatures, and all of the pastel colors is the animals. I love looking out of my kitchen window and seeing a deer eating near my front yard or driving by a field and seeing a family of turkeys hanging out. But my absolute favorite this time of year is the baby chicks and ducks. They are tiny, they are fuzzy, and they are just absolutely adorable.


I remain convinced that just looking at chicks (or as I grew up calling them doodles) and ducklings can make everyone feel at least a little happier.
