Splash of Color

When I think about having my future home, the first thing I think about is the rooms that I want. Rooms like a master bedroom, a huge kitchen, and a big living room with lots of seats for guests. When I think about these rooms I always think about what they will look like. In my mind the rooms are constantly changing because I just can't make a definite decision about any of it yet.

The colors are always changing in my mind, right now I think I would like mainly neutrals with splashes of color. I can see my living room/sitting room being mainly white but with pops of color. I'm not sure how you feel about all white rooms. To me they are very calm and serene but if everything is white it can be a little bland and boring. I would want a few pops of colors. In a white room like the one above I would add touches of pink and gold. A few colorful prints on the wall, a pink pouf, a few pink and gold throw pillows instead of the white ones, and maybe a gold bar cart to add in color. I think it would give the room just enough color to make break the white up a bit. With only a few pieces of pink and gold the colors would really stand out against the white. What are your thoughts?

Color Crush: Blush

Color Crush: Blush
Feather Skirt (stunning) / Sneakers / RGB - Pansy / Stud Earrings / iPhone Case (so cute) / Mini Dress (very chic) / Jumpsuit / Embellished Dress / Bucket Bag / Sweater (on sale) / Triangle Bra

There are no color prettier to me than romantic blush. I would likely have a closet full of the hue if it was practical. While recently doing a little online shopping I came across so many pretty blush items that I had to share a few of them here like this amazing feather skirt and this jumpsuit that is only $75. What is your favorite color?

On the Menu: The Pink Flamingo

On the Menu: The Pink Flamingo Sometimes a girl just needs a cute, cool drink to enjoy. The Pink Flamingo is a simple, nonalcoholic drink. It is beautiful and refreshing. I definitely want to serve this the next time I have the girls over. It just makes things seem special.

Ingredients
Bag of Pink Cotton Candy
2 Liter Bottle of Sprite (cold)

Directions

Fill a glass with cotton candy, you do not have to push it down into the glass. Pour Sprite over the cotton candy. It will dissolve and you will be left with a beautiful pink drink. Serve and enjoy. Do not make ahead of time.

What To Wear: Easy And Feminine

jeans and feminine top
What To Wear: Easy and Feminine
Frill Sleeve Top (beautiful shade of pink) / Pearly Fuchsia Lipstick / Coach Poppy Rollerball / Tai Asymmetrical Bangle / Star and Moon Bangle / Boyfriend Bangle / Jeans / Stack Rings / Earrings / Essie Too Taboo / Foldover Clutch (only $40) / Leopard Flats (to die for)

Jeans are a staple for me. I typically wear a pair at least a couple days a week. I love dressing them up with a feminine blouse and this one is incredible with its ruffle sleeves and tie black (and did I mention it is only $35!). Lately I have really been into wearing my jeans with leopard shoes and this pair is at the top of my wish list. Are jeans a staple for you too? How do you dress yours up?

I first shared my thoughts on flamingo prints here almost a year ago so it shouldn't be any surprise that I am so happy that these prints are still popping up everywhere. Big, beautifully pink, and bold there is nothing not to love about flamingos. I hoping to spot a few in person when I head to Florida next week. Until then I may have to snatch up a few of these great finds like maxi dress, this tee, and this tank dress.

What To Wear: To Work On Valentine's Day

One of the few things I really love about my about job is that the work environment isn't as formal as what I typically expect for a law firm. I just do not know if I could handle having to go to work each day in black or navy matching suit pieces. I don't think court will be on my schedule for Valentine's Day so this week's #whattowear depicts very closely what I will be wearing to celebrate the day. I love the combination of pink and red. This pencil skirt which is great for the office is on sale for only $28. I plan on topping off my outfit with one of my Ban.do mini hearts to clearly demonstrate how festive I am.

Prepping For Valentine's Day

While I wouldn't necessarily call myself a girl who loves Valentine's Day I do greatly appreciate any occasion that calls for celebration. Also honestly I cannot deny my huge love of anything pink, red, or covered in hearts. While Valentine's Day is still a few weeks away it is not to early to begin planning what to wear to fill a little extra special that day. I love this sweater, these shoes, and this bracelet. Some more of my favorites are below.

In The Pink

In law school one of the few purchases that I spent a ridiculous amount of money on was a pink coat. To this day it remains one of my all time favorite purchases and I still get numerous comments on it whenever I wear it. A pink coat is a fun alternative to more classic coats and the color cheers up the most dreary of days. This, this, and this are three beautiful options to consider.

A Pink Slip

I have always been a girl that loves her pink. As a result, I could not be more excited that pink is one of the hottest color trends for Fall (see my previous posts on little pink dresses and some favorite pink finds). There are so many wonderful pink items that I cannot wait to wear. How can you possibly not love this pink moto jacket? A few other favorites include this skirt, this dress, and this tee. Do you plan to happily embrace this trend?

Little Pink Dresses

I think a little pink dress is a great item for every woman to own. They are fun, playful, and surprisingly versatile which makes them a great alternative to a LBD for most occasions. Below are six great options. I think that this one is my favorite but I really love that this dress has pockets which is always a plus in my book.

Shades of Pink

It is difficult but I'm trying to adjust to being back at the office after a week spent mostly at the beach or lounging poolside and totally unplugged except for sharing the occasional picture on Instagram. Our sibling vacation went wonderfully and our baby brother (who just finished his first year of college) tried to convince us we should extend our vacation. Please have a little patience with me and Jessica while we get back to writing our posts and catch up on all of your blogs.

For now I am going to share some pretty pink things that have been catching my eye. I have been obsessed with this dress since first seeing it. This dress has a similar feel and is just as mesmerizing. I dream of owning this and placing it in my nonexistent home office.

Couch Potato

I have discussed my love for the color pink on here numerous times. I am one of those girls who never outgrew pink as their absolute favorite color. Lately I've been dreaming of owning a pink sofa. An ultra feminine focal point would be the perfect place to curl up with a good book and relax.

Think Pink

Source: tumblr.com via Sunny on Pinterest

I understand the importance of a little black dress. A well tailored LBD instantly makes any wearer appear sophisticated, sexy, and chic. However, I believe that every girl should own a couple dresses in statement making colors. Currently, I want to own an unapologetically pink dress to wear for no specific reason in all of its girly, sweet, flirty goodness.

Vision In Pink

I will accept any excuse to wear pink and today is a great reason to break out the girliest pink item you have in your closet. Embrace the day with all of its silly Hallmark characteristics and look absolutely darling doing so. Have a lovely Valentine's Day.
