Mad About Plaid
When the colder seasons hit, I find myself putting up the floral prints and the polka dots and reaching more for my stripes and my plaids. I have now found myself in the position where I have only one plaid item in my whole entire wardrobe! I know, how could I let it come to this? The plaid top that own is a new favorite of mine. It is a button up top and I wear it with my favorite jeans constantly when I don't have to work. Do you love plaid? Do you have a favorite piece? My favorites would have to be this bomber jacket that would be perfect on casual days and these loafers that would be perfect for work.

Since I have gotten myself down to just one plaid item, I have spent some time looking for replacement pieces. I love everything above and it is just so too hard to pick only one favorite. I would love to splurge and buy everything up there, but right now I am on a necessities only budget. I have spent a lot of money over this past month to buy Christmas presents for everyone and now I need to save some money so that I can pay my credit card off. Then I can revisit this post and decide what plaid item I would like. Which one is your favorite? What would you buy?

What To Wear: Fall Vibe

what to wear in fall
What to Wear: Fall Vibe
Moto Jacket (a fall essential) / Plaid Shift Dress / Sunglasses / Ear Crawlers (perfectly dainty) / Ciaté London Nail Polish / Allie Ring / Cuff Set / iPhone Case (adorable!) / Satchel / Booties / Necklace

Happy fall everyone! I am so happy to be entering my favorite time of the year. I have been busy make a to-do list of things I want to do this fall and it has me excitedly looking forward to the upcoming months. Jessica and I have also stated planning for our Halloween party and hope to get invitations out this week. Am I the only one that loves Halloween more as a grown up than I ever did as a child?

Meanwhile, I feel like the weather is being cruel to me. It gave me several glorious fall like days several weeks ago where it encouraged me to pull out the jackets from the back of my closet, allowed me to have lunch outside so I could enjoy the crispness in the air, and urged me to end the day snuggled up with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. Now here we are on the first day of fall and it feels almost like we are in the middle of summer outside. Come on, Mother Nature, work with me. In the last few weeks I have purchased so many great pieces for fall and I want to be able to wear them without sweltering.

I was evaluating my closet the other day and realized that I do not currently own a single plaid item. I have convinced myself that a plaid dress like this one is a necessity. I have been flipping out over these Satchel / booties since I spotted them earlier this week. The cutouts on them are perfect.

Have you been doing a lot shopping for fall? What great items have you purchased?

It has been so cold here lately that all I can think about are sweaters, warm socks, and cozy coats. I am sure many of you are also having the same thoughts (especially those of you in the northeast, I hope you are managing to stay warm). This great coat is only $29 and this pretty pink one is only $44. How many days is it until spring?

Fall Fashion: Plaid

Fall Fashion: Plaid The coolness of Fall is here now, hopefully to stay. I greatly dislike the ever-changing temperatures as Summer transitions into Fall. It is so hard to dress in the morning when the temperatures are going to range from in the 30s to the 70s throughout the course of the day. One Fall fashion item that is an absolutely must have is something in plaid. Plaid is amazing. You can wear so many items patterned like this. Scarves, coats, tops, pants, skirts, etc. In Fall, anything is good in plaid. Just choose your favorite colors and rock it out. I'm on the hunt for the perfect plaid top, any ideas? What are your thoughts on plaid?

Fall Favorite: Plaid Pants
If there is a must have print for fall it has to be plaid. Plaid reappears every fall like florals do every spring. My last obsession with plaid existed in the form of scarves but lately I have been loving plaid pants. Plaid is a versatile print and can easily be dressed up or down. I think a chic pair of plaid trousers would be a great addition to a work wardrobe. A few fun plaid pants can be found below:

Gone Plaid

I am currently coveting a plaid scarf. The versatile pattern comes in so many colors, scales, and fabrics. Plus, a cozy plaid scarf seems like almost a necessity this time of year. This, this, and this are three of my favorite options.

Stylish for Less: Plaid

Yesterday I blogged about how I was looking forward to Fall and Fall fashion. I shared a few of my Fall fashion inspiration pictures that I have found around the web. Today, I am continuing with that theme of looking ahead to Fall fashion in my #stylishforless post. One item that I immediately think of when it comes to Fall fashion is a cute plaid shirt. These button up shirts are perfect for creating a Fall layered look. You can easily wear them over a pretty colored tee or tank and transition that item from Summer to Fall. Plaid shirts are also beautiful because of the array of colors you can find them it. Everyone can find one that they like. Below I have some of my favorite picks for a plaid shirt and all are below $40! You don't have to go with just your standard button up plaid shirt either. You can find them with crochet or lace details.
In Fall plaid is everywhere on everything. I have seen several items recently across the web that I like that are plaid. Some of my favorites are the plaid shoes! I just love these and these.

Mad For Plaid

Thinking of plaid sometimes brings to mind images of school girl uniforms, lumberjacks, and pajamas but when worn correctly plaid can be very chic and stylish. I love how the girls pictured above make plaid look fresh, feminine, and fun. A couple suggestions are to look for plaids in bold or unexpected colors and play with flirty silhouettes, such as ruffled or full skirts and dresses.
